Love this place! The drinks are good, food is excellent. I really enjoyed my calamari and my shrimp and grits. The chef goes above and beyond. Way better than the basic fare you find all over Atlanta. Service is always great. Glad to have found this gem! Good job Rio Balsas Ta quería!

I have been going to Rio Balsas since 2016. It was always great when Kenny and Hector were always there. Went there tonight as we do weekly and ordered with a coworker 3 steak tacos which were $12.25 on the menu. When the bill came tonight it says $14.25 for steak tacos along with other items we had. I asked the waitress and she said the sign outside says $2 more for steak. The menu says steak tacos $12.25. Thats a lot for 3 tacos. She said a lot of people have complained. So then fix it...it’s obviously misleading. They also charge $6.99 for a margarita that tastes like lemonade. We will be going elsewhere.

Wow! Hidden gem, everything we ordered was fantastic from the guacamole to the taquitos. The shrimp and grits was the star of the show, but the wait staff, service, cleanliness and food were all fantastic! We will be back for sure.

Small restaurant with authentic decor delivers with great food, service with a smile and reasonable prices. The smoky red salsa delivered with chips is excellent. The shrimp tacos are delicious as well as the shrimp burrito. The staff are very accommodating and extra friendly.

We came here with my 3 year old and the service was excellent! The owner was on site and very friendly. He is a younger guy who has a young family as well! Happy to support a local small business Everything we ordered was delicious, we will be back again soon!
