Great comfort food and friendly staff. We eat here a couple of times a week!
We are traveling through the back roads and came across this awesome restaurant. I have to be so careful with what I eat due to gluten intolerance and colitis. This is the perfect place to eat. I had grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans.

When we arrived it was getting close the 3pm closing time. The food was good southern home cooked. I had fried pork cube steak, mac&cheese, turnip greens. Wife had turkey&dressing, fried squash and cranberry sauce. The menu is on a chalkboard, pick your choice of meat and either 2 or 3 vegetables. Desserts were available also but we did not try any. Parking was plenty while we were there but at noon it might be a problem. The restaurant is just one block from downtown Monticello.

This place is top notch in all categories, their fried apple or peach pies are INSANELY delicious. If you’re looking for a good filling meal, make Martha Jane’s your next destination!!

Amazing food, love their daily specials. Highly recommend trying their burgers, fish, shrimp, and pot roast. Keep up the good work. 👍

Small town diner -Check. Breakfast - 4 stars. Cheeseburger with homemade potato chips - 5 stars! But! Burgers were a one day special unless they decided to bring them back. If they are back on the menu then I would give the place a 5 stars.
