For a boy scout summer camp the food was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. They did a good job of keeping the adults happy with availability of coffee and tea,

This retrospective review is a companion piece and supplement to my review of Woodruff's East Campus counterpart, Brittain Dining Hall: Woodruff Dining Hall, also known as "Woody's," was *the* dining hall on Georgia Tech's West Campus prior to Fall 2017. Fall 2017 is when West Village opened, marking the end of Woody's and the nearby West Side Market on-campus convenience store. I had a meal plan, linked to my Buzz Card. Since I lived on East Campus, I rarely ate at Woody's. The only times I ate at Woody's were for FASET (Familiarization and Adaptation to the Surroundings and Environs of Tech) orientation, when I stayed in an apartment on West Campus, and when I visited friends who lived on West Campus. Woody's was newer and nicer than Brittain, but the food was about the same: average. To this day, I'm glad I lived on East Campus versus West. Not only was there more going on being right next to the football stadium, but I got to experience historic Brittain daily. I recall one night in particular at Woody's. My friends and I got dinner. My eyes were bloodshot, I think from alcohol flush reaction ( Some Georgia Tech police officers were eating at Woody's at the same time. One of them made eye contact with me. I think I was kind of concerned that he'd come and question me, but he didn't. He may not have noticed and it was all just in my head. I'm not sure and don't remember if Woody's was built for and/or used by some of the Olympic athletes during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. IIRC, some parts of West Campus, like the apartments, were used by the athletes. Definitely the Campus Recreation Center's aquatic facilities. I believe Woodruff was named after Robert W Woodruff, president of Coca-Cola from 1923 to 1955. Woodruff flunked out of Georgia Tech. The Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown, which includes the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the High Museum of Art, and Woodruff Park in Downtown Atlanta were both named after Woodruff too.
