Fishers of Men, Seafood Restaurant

First off the two gentlemen Meech and Tae we’re very welcoming and helpful as it was my first time ordering. I wanted to buy everything separate but Meech suggested a cheaper alternative to my meal. I got the whiting dinner with Mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes. Meech threw in two pieces of bread as I wanted a whiting sandwich originally. The fish was soooo good as it was seasoned to perfection, lol literally. The macaroni and cheese was a little dry but also good in seasoning too. The fried green tomatoes is not your original fried green tomato as it is battered in something different but it was good all the same. If I could 10/10, I would recommend, and come again! I’m gettin that po boy next ?

Today was our first time trying Fishers of Men restaurant. Wow! The owner was warm and welcoming. I ordered grilled catfish with coleslaw and onion rings. I got three pieces of fish! It had great flavor. My husband ordered fried catfish and shrimp. He got four pieces of fish and 12 shrimp, and the shrimp were huge! They definitely get an A for amount of food! Our experience was wonderful (only waited 10 minutes for our food), and we will definitely go back again. Great job Fishers of Men!

We stopped in after a doctor appt. The reviews were pretty good. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We walked in and nobody greeted us or even said hi. I said hello hoping that somebody might catch the error. The restaurant doesn't have seating. It's more of a to go place. We ordered two catfish dinners. Only after paying were we told the menu prices were not updated. So why would a restaurant have menus that don't have the correct pricing?? I have never heard such a thing in my life. I definitely said something about this. It was our first time and we live in a completely different county. The three guys at the counter didn't exactly apologized. They did offer to comp us another dinner to make up for the $16 difference. So we did. Regardless of how the food tastes, I was disappointed. Definitely won't be returning.

Delicious! And the people working were absolutely the kindest. My children are somewhat picky, but the server was patient and even brought samples for us to try to help us decide. SO thankful we found this restaurant while traveling. NOT greasy…but perfectly prepared and fresh! And SO good!!!

My husband and I were in Georgia for a drs appointment down the block and needed something to eat while waiting. We found this awesome place and loved every bite. Best of all the guys working there are wonderful people. Would highly recommend and if we're ever in the area again will definitely go back to support this small business. ❤

I came last Saturday at 11:15am (website says they open at 11). Lights were off, door was locked. I called several times an hour later and the phone just rang, they do not have a voicemail setup. I assumed the store went out of business. Today I’m scrolling through the reviews and see a review as recent as 5 days so I guess they’re not out of business. I tried calling again today at 11:51. Phone still just rings and rings. No answer, no voicemail. If they’re not out of business then they need to either open their establishment on time or update their business hours. I drove pretty far last week to order from them. I wanted to eat there one last time before I move to Europe next week, I’m very disappointed :( I hope the lady that used to run the restaurant didn’t sell it to new people or leave it to some lazy sons or nephews. That woman was always so polite and professional.

Very friendly staff. Hush puppies were great. Fried fish wasn't great and at 5:30pm they were sold out of many items. If you're going for dinner, I'd recommend calling ahead.

Parking: Plenty of parking out front

Went in today, had the Tuesday special, (fish or shrimp) catfish salad.Very courteous and nice people.The catfish, three grilled fillets placed right over. I work 3 minutes away it was enough time to for the fish to deliciously marinate the salad where I was tempted to not even use dressing. The fish was... fantastic, so delicious. On that alone I'm going back and going to try their other options in the upcoming days.The salad portion there isn't much to talk about. It's a salad. The greens were a mix of carrots, tomato, and other usual stuff, it seemed fresh and was crunchy. The protein flavored it just fine as mentioned above.I uploaded a picture of the container because I inhaled the food and didnt have time or the mindset to pause and capture the protein. My apologies.

This Christian & Black owned business is well run. It reminds me of more of a clean family owned fish shack, only because of it's basic/simplistic operation.The food was well prepared and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the whiting & shrimp with a side of greens. The collards are prepared with smoked turkey and delicious.

Tried to order through a National food delivery service, immediately after ee paid I received a phone call from the restaurant they don’t have Red Velvet cake they don’t have chocolate cake they don’t have broccoli they don’t have several other items. Tell them to refund those items and send the meal anyway. 15 minutes later the national food delivery service calls us and tells us that the restaurant has canceled because they don’t have the items they need to fulfill our order. This is a huge question mark to me because this is a seafood place and that’s what we ordered shrimp and catfish are they not the staples of a seafood restaurant? Don’t worry I will never order from you again ~

Our food was fantastic. EVERYTHING was home made, even the sauces. Our fish was really fresh and very tasty. We will definitely be back here again!!
