The food on the buffet was good. It was fresh, hot, and tasted good. The donut shop, as I call it in general, was good. I do not feel that the cup cakes are worth $4. They were good, but not that good. Will I go back? Most definitely, the food is good.

I’m tearing up doughnuts from this place right now. Y’all are missing out if you don’t go by there. Her lunch was so so good

I normally get the tuna salad and it's always been good but the last 3 times I have ordered it it's has been awful I tried again today because I was really craving tuna salad and I ordered me and a coworker a cup of tuna with crackers and it is hands down the worst so far. I have always loved to eat here but I will no longer be returning.

Tried this today with my little boy and it was sooo delicious! The staff were also so polite and kind and the restaurant was spotless! We bought some sweets to take home which were to die for! Never tried this place and was recommended by a family member and wish we would have tried it earlier!! Definitely will be back!

Took my father and stepmother for “brunch” at the Saturday breakfast buffet but it was very underwhelming. I was expecting a larger, fresher, warmer buffet of food but it was a small buffet that did not appear fresh. Scrambled eggs were not very warm, biscuits were hard and pancakes were tough and cold (fresh were brought out after old ones were gone). I’ve had more options and fresher food on hotel continental breakfast bars. The waitresses, buffet server and cashier were all very nice and helpful.

We were really excited to see this restaurant take over the old Bentley place that has been vacant for a while. We went yesterday for the lunch buffet and were sadly disappointed. It appears that the place was purchased and the new owner, “Mama D”, just moved in with little to no renovation. Be careful in the parking lot as the pot holes could eat your vehicle. The building needs a good pressure washing and a fresh coat of paint. The large bay window to the left of the building looks like it hasn’t been washed inside or out since the Bentley’s owned it more than a decade ago, and the entrance door had chipped paint and seemed to be barely hanging on it’s hinges. Once inside, you are greeted with faded paint on walls that have nothing on them but the required “choking “ poster that shows how to do the Heimleich maneuver. Holes are still there from where previous pictures were hung as well as the faint outline of a frame. There are no decorative accessories anywhere. The much exalted buffet is nothing more than a 6 foot steam table with questionable looking food. Hamburger steak was on the menu that day, but the steak was the size of a meatball. We also ordered off the grill menu. The sweet tea tasted like they had poured one glass of tea into a 50 gallon container, it was that watered down. The wait staff, if you could call them that were pleasant and friendly, but had nothing to do as the place was empty, so they just sat in the corner. Also never saw any one in a hair net or gloves as advertised. One annoying employee kept asking if we wanted more food from the buffet. Uh, can we finish what’s in front of us first? Guess she wanted to break down the buffet or it was quitting time? Another employee kept going in and out of the kitchen area while constantly rubbing/playing with the multiple rings piercing her nose. VERY off putting. All in all, I hope this place succeeds and I know they just opened, but they really need to get their act together. The food was hot and seemed fresh, but had absolutely no flavor. Truly tasteless. For a business that started as a bakery/sweet shop, the dessert cases were empty. Sure this happens, but it’s bad planning and poor management to run out by lunch. We may try this place again in 6 months or so, but right now it’s nothing more than an old, outdated, dusty, run down building with bland and tasteless food.

Mama Ds is definitely worth every penny. Her items are delicious. We’ve had from the lunch to the cupcakes. I’ve ordered cupcakes for birthday parties too. She recently started selling homemade doughnuts.

Surprisingly small selection of sweets when I stopped in. Seemed to be more focused on lunch. My daughter wanted a cupcake but they didn't have any.

Coming from Baltimore, Maryland to Moultrie, Georgia after a long drive to Colquitt Regional Center where my ex- husband and daughters Dad was placed on life support after a massive heart attack; we wanted to do something personal for the wonderful Doctors and Nurses that took such wonderful care of him while he was in ICU for almost 3 weeks! So, that is when we happened to come across Mama D’s Sweet Shop in Moultrie and decided what better way then to send them some various pastries to go with their coffee whenever they could “catch a break” during their 10 hour shifts! Mama D was amazing and went above and beyond in helping us with our order as all of this was done over the phone while on our way to Georgia! she even personally delivered them to the hospital herself! She told us to not even worry about paying her until we arrived in Moultrie! Trust me when I say that we would have never received that hospitality from any bakery back here in Baltimore!! When we met her to pay her, we were greeted by a beautiful woman who actually sat with us for quite some time and gave us comforting words as she shared her own personal trials in her life that she and her family had gone through. She made us feel as if we had known her forever and not just met at that moment. She will never know how much comfort that she brought especially to my daughter who was having a very difficult time trying to cope with this very frightening time as she was told that she might lose her Dad. Her glazed donuts, cookies and pastries were nothing short of Delicious, as we and the Staff at ICU-03 would attest to! So if you’re ever in Moultrie, Georgia and you get a taste for some really good sweets to go with your morning coffee—— Go visit Mama D’s Sweet Shop. You won’t be disappointed and you might even get the chance to pull up a chair and chat with an Angel?——— We Surely Did!! God Bless.

I’m from Maryland, my father lives right down the street from Mama D’s. Recently he had a medical emergency and was in the ICU. Being from out of state, the nurses were doing a wonderful job taking care of my dad and I wanted to show my appreciation by sending them some goodies. Through Facebook , Dallas was very accommodating and even delivered the goodies to the hospital. Things took a turn for the worse for my dad and we ended up having to travel to Georgia and was blessed to have met Dallas. She sat with us for about an hour and listened to us about my pop and even shared with us some of her stories. The southern hospitality we were shown really helped us through a really tough time. The donuts were absolutely delicious and I’m a big fan of the the huge peanut butter cookies! The nurses all said the treats were gobbled up quick! Love the small town bakery called Mama D’S❤️
