La Cabaña was the 1st restaurant we visited after Helene’s wrath of destruction. We’ve always enjoyed our meals from La Cabana but for some reason they have just seemed exceptionally delicious since Helene.

I always enjoy starting off with the queso and chips while my husband enjoys the Salsa. Then I always get the same thing whether lunch or dinner… The lunch #8 no beans all rice. My husband likes just about everything on the menu, so he tries something different every time. And on this visit, he ordered the “Freddy Burger”. Where do you think they got the name Freddy Burger from???

But to have a burger from a Mexican restaurant, it looked really good and he said, it tastes even better than it looks.

Not good. My husband and I got a to go meals. My husband got a Freddy’s burger, it was cooked beyond eating. He couldn’t eat it. They didn’t get my meal right. Needless to say. We will not be back.

I feel the food portions are small compared to the price. Also the food seems to be on the bland side. For a family of 5 it was $90.00. I don’t mind paying for good food but this was not worth it. The server was nice and the restaurant looked clean. I wished the food was better because there’s not to many places to choose from in this small town.

I tried coming over from Vidalia and brought a friend with me for dinner. Restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6 PM. It was such a bad experience i apologized to my friend that came. Poor service and food. Server was a younger guy that was really rude. Shrimp tacos were so small I combined them into one. When I asked what kind of cheese they used in the shrimp tacos, the server told me it was “cows milk cheese” in the rudest way possible. I just wanted to know if it was queso or shredded ??‍♂️ I was starving so I ate it but won’t return. Having had worked front and back of house in restaurants before, I know how hard it is and go out of my way to tip well and be polite, and it’s really frustrating to get this kind of attitude in response to polite customers.Will not be returning and definitely won’t be bringing other people back with me.

This past Saturday(02/03/2024) my family and I had such a terrible experience here. They wont be seeing us again! Horrible customer service! We were not welcomed and automatically sat in the back room when there were plenty open tables in the front. It’s almost like it was their mission to make us so uncomfortable that we would leave, which we did. And to add the cherry on top when we let her, who I assume to be the owner, know we wouldnt be staying her reply was “Perfect”. Very weird. I guess we didn’t fit the description of the kind of customers they were looking for.
