Bruster's Real Ice Cream

The ice cream is good. Lines sometimes long, but service generally attentive. My husband loves that they have malt. I am lactose intolerant and they advertise several dairy-free flavors. Sometimes they are out of dairy free flavors. Today they asked to put dairy milk in my milk shake with my dairy free ice cream because they ran out of plant based milk. Although I am really glad they asked, that is just not cool. It shows a lack of knowledge regarding serious food allergies and a lack of knowledge regarding their own products. As someone who has worked in the food service industry with specialty products, I expect more. Dairy free isn't a preference unfortunately, but a serious health concern for me. Some training regarding food allergies, being knowledgeable about their products and better attention to stocking products that are advertised would easily remedy this issue. I do like that they offer the dairy free ice cream, but I will definitely be more concerned about ordering a milkshake if they're not using dairy free milk and think it's okay to substitute.

$17 for 3 scoops of icecream is crazy. It's good, but not that good.

Awesome experience. The ice cream flavors and varieties of cones were all awesome, and plenty of warm memories were made. Great customer service!

My daughter was just at your establishment this evening and ordered an ice cream. After a few bites in she downed a very long hair ruining her appetite and was refused a refund because she ate some of it! How is one supposed to know if their order contains hair if they don’t eat it??? Way to steal someone’s money! We’ve been customers for many many years even treated many of our soccer teams here after games at Whitlock and after this lack of service we won’t return!

I ate about 3 small bites of my ice cream and scooped up a long piece of hair. I walked up to the window and said there was a hair, she immediately took it and threw it in the trash. I asked nicely for a refund and was asked if I ate any of it and said yes cuz I had a few small bites and was told I couldn’t get a refund. I’d have gotten another flavor like offered but I had lost my appetite. What a waste of money. My group even tipped too
