First time in Georgia and I know y’all are known for bbq and I can see why, that pulled pork sandwich was killer and I’ve never had Brunswick stew but I’ll definitely be having it again because it was filled with flavor. Prices are also great

Had pulled pork recently at JRs. Where's the smoke? The meat doesn't taste smoked or even smell smoked, like genuine southern smoked BBQ. No burnt ends either. Being a real barbecue snob, I am suspect. BBQ isn't made in a crock pot, oven or grill. And sauce doesn't make it BBQ. Truly smoked meats are delicious enough they don't need to be covered up with sauce. But is the smoker located along the road for marketing, or actually smoking meat? It's a legitimate question.

Shoot, this place is good. I kept passing it for years, and at the recommendation of a cop friend, I was advised that I have to stop by. I'm glad that I did. Ms Angie was super friendly. Parking is fine, and there was a steady stream of cars coming for lunch as we sat and ate. It's a "no frills" sort of place, and that's my preference. I want good food, not a fancy cake display. There are a few tables outside under an awning, so I enjoyed the food there. I got a BBQ plate to share with my 1.5 year-old son. It didn't last long.
I look forward to returning!
Parking: Shop sits on one side of a gravel lot. Parking is available in front of, and near the shop.
Kid-friendliness: Came with my 1.5 year-old son. Ms Angie greeted him kindly. It's a "no frills" sort of place, so no high-chairs or playground. But, there are tables outside, so if your kids spills some food, it's not the end of the world.

Clean, friendly, fast and delicious. Had the Brunswick stew and a BBQ sandwich. Sadly they sold out of sausage dogs, will go back to try those next time. We ate at their covered tables, it was a good experience
