Amazing food, service and atmosphere.
First time visiting — top tier experience indeed! Make sure you ask for Ian. Top-notch service at Mama Lucia’s!
Since I moved to Georgia from New York to Douglasville, I have been looking for authentic Italian cuisine. I gave up until I came across one last effort. Today is March 28th 2025 and I finally found AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD in Newnan, GA. The staff was so really nice and on top of their game. The bartender made outrageous Lemon Drop Martini's (William) and he serviced our table and made suggestions that were outstanding. I had to start, the Calamari and Bruschetta that were made to perfection. Entrees were: Angel Hair with Vodka sauce and a Parmesan Encrusted Chicken Breast to die for. My Niece had shrimp and scallops in fettucine sauce with fettucine.
It was a toss up, between the tiramisu or the chocolate amaretto mousse. I got the mousse. DIVINE! Portions are big so you need to be hungry or just take it home like I did. I really enjoyed this place very much and will happily be back to make my way through their menu.
The boyfriend and I went for a date night and it was wonderful. Service was speedy and friendly.
He ordered the baked manicotti and I got the tortellini tricolore. Both were amazing but the tortellini was out of this world!
We will definitely be back!
If you want an elegant night out with your wife then this is a place to go! Cloth Napkins and Table cloth. Well dressed waiters and waitresses and a nice bar. Not to mention the food is fantastic!
Great service, amazing recipes.
We loved dinner. No complaints. Tried brunch and brought friends from church. Definitely someone who has never cooked brunch. Egg benidict was a hard boiled egg, grits were so thick and way to much pepper. Eggs over easy were toast and burned. Service was Marginal. Omelet was also over done. We will continue to dine for dinner but avoid brunch. .

My husband had the best veal Parm he had ever tasted. Servings are generous. I had a to die for spaghetti.
I had the best Sangria I have ever had this side of the pond.
Our server was Courtney who was attentive but not in the way.
Highly recommend for date nights
Vegetarian options: Really great for allergy sufferers
Dietary restrictions: Great options for vegans.
I have a dairy allergy so eating out is usually difficult. Very attentive to your needs

Had a good time, it was my son‘s birthday, we were happy to be together more than anything.
Everyone at our table had been a server earlier in life.
Very, very slow service, I believe they had two other tables with two people, it was not busy at all I see why.
I believe had unsweetened tea that evening, and when he was pouring it, I told him to go ahead and top mine off, and he insisted that I get the unsweetened tea that I did not want.

Waited two hours for our food. When it came, it was cold. I asked the owner if there was a problem and she responded, not that I know of. It is her responsibility to find out. Unacceptable. Quite frankly the food is tastier, service is better and less expensive at Olive Garden. If this restaurant is going to survive, it needs to make some changes quickly.

Stopped off for lunch today. Atmosphere during the day is as expected, low key and kinda bright. I imagine it's much more "atmospheric" in the evening. Anywho, our service was great and prompt and attentive. For an appetizer, I went for Mussels Caprese. Basically mussels absolutely slathered in butter and (I think) spinach? Could have been nori by the flavor. Still, good stuff. Not much there for the cost ($16). I also had a Caesar salad ($4). Then I went for the baseline Lasagna. Notice the meat gravy isn't so much a gravy as it is a thick meat soup. It was flavorful, but....but.. for me, from an Italian place, I do expect the gravy to be a bit more gravy-like and less soup-like. Idk if that makes sense. I mean. It tastes good, don't get me wrong. Probably just my dumb 'murican brain today. Anyway. I noticed a seafood crepe on the menu. That will be my next try. And yes, yes we most certainly will be back. ? So, if you're looking for local Italian, you know where to go. Check out Mama's!

Jenny was very attentive and friendly. The bread, and Shrimp Scampi were awesome, very delicious. The sauce for my scampi was so tasty. The noodles were yummy and way different from franchise restaurants. My dish was a real Italian shrimp scampi.

Not a great experience. The food has been good in the past, but something was very different this time. I had the chicken parmigiana which was very tough and lacking in flavor and the tomato sauce tasted like watered down tomato paste. We did start with a Caesar salad which was good but unfortunately the rest was not good at all. The new location is convenient, but could use a lot more atmosphere, it just feels like a lot of tables spread out in a big room. Maybe some walls or dividers would serve to break things up a bit and provide more tables with a more intimate feel.
One thing I really wish they would bring in is a wood fired pizza oven to offer authentic Neapolitan style pizzas!
