I don't know when I have had a fried shrimp so succulent, the grouper fish was lightly seasoned we asked for it to be well done and it still wasn't overcooked, the coleslaw with sweet and tasty just like I like it, I don't eat fried oysters but I ate them tonight, they were slamming, the catfish was cooked well done just like I like it, nothing was over seasoned, if you know anything about shrimp you know big shrimp can be hard to cook because they'll turn rubbery, but when I tell you the shrimp where a little smaller than my thumb. Oh one more thing, Brunswick stew is not a favorite of mine at all , again I ate it tonight. It was the bomb. I recommend this restaurant to all near and far. I'm telling ya the shrimp are big!!!!!

Large portions and reasonably priced. My wife's shrimp scampi was too big to finish. I barely finished my seafood platter. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked.
The beer is tasteless. The food is worse, the place is nasty.

High end pricing with low end food. Average bar food. Haven't been in for a while, but the quality and the serving sizes have decreased while the prices are ridiculous for what you get. No wonder when we went in at lunchtime on a Saturday the place was empty. I guess the market will tell.

The Lower Alabama country boil was delicious!!! My husband and I really enjoyed the food. He had fried shrimp and scallops. They were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly! Do yourself a favor and go eat here!!!! You won't regret it!!

This may be the worst food I’ve had in years. The food was extremely overpriced my “fried scallops” were raw. The fried oysters were sour. Everything about this place is dirty. Save yourself the money and appetite.

Horrible service! Crap show , ordered a barbecue baked potato never got my barbecue sauce. Oyster Rockefeller Served with raw onions on top? Kids food came out 20 minutes after adults food. Worst hundred dollars spent!

Absolutely hands down the most delicious seafood this side of the Mississippi River! We just made a stop over in Newnan traveling from Atlanta amd stumbled upon this place. The service was wonderful, and food was prepared fresh hot and fast. I ordered oysters, catfish and peel and eat shrimp, fried green tomatoes, new potatoes. The battered was hand dip breaded and crispy, golden, full of flavor. Then, to top off that, strawberry 'slap yo grandma' pie. DELICIOUS!!!! The pastry was so buttery and flaky with fresh juicy filling. Loved it! Thank you so much for delicious yummy food and great service. We will be back!
We went and tried out The Half Shell Restaurant in Newnan. I was a little hesitant going in because it looks like a bar where people hang out. We walked in and sat down. They were really slow acknowledging us. It took at least 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. Then it got a whole lot better. Melinda was our server and she took good care of us. The food was great! I’m always hesitant about getting seafood when I’m not at the beach. I tried their seafood even though we are no where near the beach. It was great! I got fried grouper and fried shrimp with fried okra and fries. You can’t beat that! I definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Watch out because their sign says they close at 8pm. Well they do! They started turning people away at 7:15pm. I that was a little too early.
Parking: The restaurant is located in a strip shopping center so there is plenty of parking.
Kid-friendliness: No problem for kids.
