Please be careful when ordering from this restaurant. I spent almost $150 with most my dishes with white rice. Not only were the okra, efo riro, and red stew completely tasteless, all of the white rice was spoiled. You can tell the rice was old and reheated several times and the smell was so rank. I’m surprised at how kitchen staff didn’t catch this and proceeded to serve it. The food made me sick. Order at your own risk.

Why is the food so awful my goodness. Do you people actually taste what you cook and agree amongst yourselves it’s good to go? Wow, I ordered jollof and it was awful!! Tasteless lacking any flavor gosh I couldn’t believe it. Even their soup meals are awful. Hire a better chef or take a cooking class. It’s embarrassing

The whole fried fish was outstanding. It was crispy and juicy. The fries were hot and crispy. The bartender was very attentive and I would look to sit in her area again. She was fun.

Horrible experience. Poor service. We got there 7:30 for an event. By 11 pm we still hadn’t gotten our food. I do not recommend this restaurant. There’s lack of organization, lack of staff training, under staffing & shortage of food.

How is this place in business ?!We were seated at our table by 7.30 ? It was 11 when they took our orders and the food was brought back to us in a take out boxes. I mean talk about adding insult to injury !Not one apology from the manager or the staff… just atrocious service by far. When you have a large party you you plan your staff and food , at the end of it we were given scraps from the kitchen in a freaking take away box!I’m making sure I tell everyone not to bother with this restaurant.

Is there a new chef? The last two times I have ordered my favorite meal, the Efo Riro is had no flavor at all, it is watered down. I'm so disappointed. The pounded yam this time around was even bad, it was hard.

Food is not consistent and the servicing size is small in some cases for the price point. Ordered fish w/ stew and for $11 received 1/2 a fillet.

My husband and I saw this place on Google looking for African cuisine. Keren displayed great customer service. She was very friendly and attentive. We ordered Gizzards for an appetizer and Beef Suya and Jollof rice for our main dish. The food was delicious, and the meat was tender. There is an 18% gratuity charge, but it tells you on the menu. Our meal was a total of $71. A little too much if you ask me, but it's all good. They have an Instagram page and some nights they have Jazz night with live musicians. Thanks to Keren for that information. Overall the service and food was good. The only thing I didn't like was the 18% gratuity, but I overlooked that due to the great service Keren gave. We will definitely be back!

Ate here a week ago and still dreaming about the Suya fries! I actually learned of this spot from a non-related Yelp review that mentioned the restaurant - looked it up and it was 12 mins away from me! I've been looking for a new African restaurant to try close by, so it was really just my luck. We came for takeout on a slow Sunday - the wonderful waitress helped us order (didn't get her name). She even kindly brought our order to the car while we were waiting, very nice of her. We ordered Suya fries, Suya beef & jollof with goat and plantain. Truly blown away by the Suya fries as I've never had anything like it before - delicious. The flavors were THERE. Seasoning was on point and the mayo based sauce on top was so damn good. Beef was flavorful and juicy. Jollof and goat was spicy and also delicious. I can't speak for in-dining experience, however they do have a stage inside, so looks like they host various events throughout the week. I will absolutely be returning. So happy we found this tucked away gem!!!!!

The food here is delicious! I've tried Eguisi Soup and the Okra Soup. The Eguisi Soup was seasoned to perfection and the meat was oh soooo tender. I've enjoyed both!

Originally I wrote a review 5 days ago regarding my first experience at this restaurant and swore I wouldn't give it a shot again. However; I decided to give them a try again since writing the review. I specifically ordered 2 sides of Jolloff rice because the rice was actually good. The owner Matthew was very generous, friendly and concerned regarding my previous review. We conversed until my food was ready and it was genuine. The difference from my first visit and my visit yesterday evening was better. Matthew greeted me when I walked in and the lady that worked there also said "Good evening". Coming from a background of over 25 years of customer service I stress to anyone the importance of giving your customers the best customer service experience. Yes we all go through things but making a customer feel welcomed makes a big difference, without customers a business would not thrive. I'm glad I went back, Matthew accomodated me on my order and I must say I will be back again. I look forward to sitting at the bar and trying a few drinks next time.

I purchased light soup with fufu. My fufu was burnt and hard on one side. Definitely not worth the money spent. I can purchase a box of fufu for $6 and make it better myself.

The food was flavorful and the cocktails delicious! The service was friendly and efficient! Plus the steady background of AfroBeats created a lively atmosphere. We tried the jollof, gizzards, efo riro, egusi, tilapia, fried snapper, plantain, suya and more. Fantastic West African food experience for one and all. Go forth, dine in, and enjoy!
