A group of 13 of us came into this Captain D's and were tired and starving. We were the only ones in the restaurant. It took a while to get our food, but it was hot and fresh. Everybody was happy. The hush puppies were huge, probably the twice the size I'm used to getting.

PLEASE put SOMETHING in your profile to indicate that you lock your doors an HOUR before you close. It is annoying as balls to be locked out well ahead of closing time and also find something missing from your order you had to get from the drive thru.

I love this location of Captain D's Jimmy Carter blvd next to Race track, specially when a girl I believe her name is Ariana she's always smiling greeting people so nice and making sure you're taking care good, we need more people like her Sincerely Jaime C

I’ve come here a number of times. Each visit was got worse. I’m done eating here. They constantly run out of food. Intercom is always very low. You can barely hear what they say. Food is usually hot, but hey constantly get orders wrong. And the manager guy is very dismissive of their mess up in an order. No respect for paying customers. The Manager is sitting in the window constantly after taking your order.

Mac and cheese was horrible it looks appetizing and it taste HORRID. Cant believe they charge an extra dollar for that. Threw away half my food. So greasy food. Feels like they just take it out the freezer and dump it in the fryer and it taste horrible. Didnt finish half my food trying to force it down my mouth. Horrid Spot

Captain. D'S is not a upscale establishment but it does offer some great fried fish and hush puppies for a decent amount of money.

Dined in for lunch on a weekday in Fall 2025. I ordered one of the specials, and my meal was under $10. The fried fish, hushpuppies, and fries were hot, crispy, and fresh. I appreciated the selection of condiments, including Louisiana brand hot sauce, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, and malt vinegar. The dining area and restrooms were clean, and customer service was courteous. For the price and quality, this was an excellent Captain D’s experience—better than some higher-priced seafood spots I’ve tried.
This location used to be great but now it seems to be ran not by franchise and the people who owes it seems to not know how to run this place at all...Long lines in drive thru and long lines inside every visit, it shouldn't take no one 30+ minutes for food

Shrimp was not deveined in the popcorn shrimp... luckily some of the veins were visible through the breading so I noticed and did not eat the shrimp.
I didn't ask for sauces when ordering online, somehow thought it would be included but that might be on me that I did not end up with any tartar sauce or ketchup. It is nice to be asked if you would like any sauce, especially when going through the drive thru.
