Happy Valley Dim Sum & Asian Cuisine

Called to place an order of the lunch menu dishes and the gentleman who answered said the menu is ten years old so they don’t give the soup,egg roll or rice with the lunch anymore …. So why not update it and change the prices if the prices have changed . We were placing a big order based on the menu you have online and but after the false advertising we rather not ….

11/19 decided to give this place a second chance as dine in and I can officially say it was trash , food was cold , you can taste it was not freshly made & the entire restaurant was empty .

Glad I didn’t spend as much as the first time .

Take out was disgusting and cold. Half our order was missing - the driver claimed he “asked and was told everything was there”

No chopsticks or utensils

Rubbery take out food - event he egg tarts were stale and gross

I should have known something was off when I walked into Happy Valley Restaurant during prime dinner time and it was as empty as a library during summer break. Red flag #1. But, ever the optimist, I figured maybe we just beat the dinner rush.

The first few dishes came out—lobster, fish, and salt and pepper squid—and honestly, they were decent! I was feeling hopeful. But then, I made the rookie mistake of asking for some rice to balance out all the salt. Big mistake. You would’ve thought I asked them for the moon. Fried rice was one of our dishes (another family member ordered), but apparently, in Happy Valley, white rice is treated like a rare artifact. Who knew rice was the new gold standard? Waiters kept complaining, and I was wondering what kind of dystopian world we had entered where rice became such a luxury.

In the end, though, we still had a good laugh with family, and that’s worth something. So, despite being in a “Valley” that doesn’t make anyone happy, I’ll toss in an extra star for the family memories.

2 stars, mostly for the company, not the rice negotiations. Also wish I took more photos of the food but it wasnt anything special!

The food was pretty decent, maybe a little oily but nonetheless good. The place itself was really spacious but it seems the place might need a remodel. Service was amazing though. It wasn’t busy when we came so the servers were always around giving us different dim sums and refilling our waters which was great. They were very kind and super helpful. It’s very kid-friendly and apparently they do weddings.

What a gorgeous place to take guests for a meal and experience they won't soon forget! Even on a weekday, they had carts of Dim Sum dishes rolling throughout our meal. The host blessed us with a taste of culture and pleasant conversations.

Vegetarian options: Tofu options available, but most dishes are made with meat.

We have been going for years, since I was a child, and the food and service has been impeccable all my life. Wonderful place, if I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Best Dim Sum experience you can find.

A good place for lunch and good service

Food was delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful. There was a little bit of a language barrier but just grab a menu and order from it. Staff is super nice as well.
