Good food service could be friendlier atmosphere needs updating

My family and I have been supporting Kool Runnings for almost 10 years. Unfortunately, over the past 5 years, the consistency has really declined. Whether we’re dining in, picking up, or ordering through Uber Eats, it’s become a gamble on what kind of experience we’ll have.

Most recently, we placed a $90 Uber Eats order that included a salmon rasta pasta and an oxtail plate. The salmon sauce leaked into the oxtail dish, completely changing the flavor—so much so that we ended up throwing both plates away. It was disappointing and felt like a total waste.

We keep giving this restaurant a chance because of the history and the great meals we’ve had in the past, but it’s getting harder to justify. I truly hope the team takes these issues seriously and works to bring back the quality and care that once made Kool Runnings a standout spot.

One of the best places to eat in all of Georgia I highly recommend the oxtail with cabbage and peas and rice

I will never not stop at Kool Runnings when I’m in the area. The brown stew chicken is FIRE! So tender and flavorful. My husband gets the oxtail or curry goat, both delicious! Coco bread is in a warmer. It can get a lil crunchy after a while. Patties come in all different flavors! Their food is fire! Try it!

The food was so good! My order was cooked fresh and at a reasonable time. Shout out to Gayle for being so welcoming.

Food is good but a bit pricey for everything. Eat there maybe once every 6 months. A lunch special over $10 this is a bit much. Yes food is good but the price alone makes me want to explore other options.

Ordered jerk, chicken and oxtail. Terrible terrible terrible the food has gone down over the years. It has zero flavor whatsoever. They should not even call themselves a Caribbean restaurant that’s insulting. Learn to cook.!

They used to serve potatoes with the oxtail and the sauce is more oily than gravy. It seems the economy may have impacted their service standards. The $30 meal wasn't great, but the mac and cheese was decent at least.

Hadn't been to this restaurant in while, went in and purchased curry chicken, rice and peas with plantains.. can I say it was awful!!!! it was fulled with a ridiculous amount of rice with not enough gravy to cover the rice, the chicken was dry and overcooked.., but the worst was the plantains that was so old, hard and was a burnt brown color that i wouldn't serve it to my dog.Completely uneatable and wasted $16… needless to say, i wont be visiting this restaurant ever again. If I could give ZERO stars i would.

I ate at Kool Runnings maybe a year ago the food was soooo good I, traveled an hour just to go back to what I remembered, today was everything but that. I was in disbelief of what was given for the price of $71.42 I was not impressed at all. The oxtails we covered in Jerk sauce the, rice was drowning in jerk sauce. The oxtails were bite size and only 3 were given. The jerky chicken was very dry from sitting. I’d give a 2/10 it’s definitely not the same from what I remember.

I've been coming to this place for the past 5 years and I must admit today has shown me to never go back to this place. I'm from Florida born and raised so I pretty much know good Jamaican food; today I bought an oxtail with rice & peas and it was the worse $26 plate that I spent. I regret even going there but guess it can take one bad experience to open your eyes despite the recent bad reviews I had seen.

Had a horrible experience. Purchased a curry goat & jerk chicken plate. Very small portion and meat was dry. Rice was tasteless.
