They used to serve potatoes with the oxtail and the sauce is more oily than gravy. It seems the economy may have impacted their service standards. The $30 meal wasn't great, but the mac and cheese was decent at least.

Hadn't been to this restaurant in while, went in and purchased curry chicken, rice and peas with plantains.. can I say it was awful!!!! it was fulled with a ridiculous amount of rice with not enough gravy to cover the rice, the chicken was dry and overcooked.., but the worst was the plantains that was so old, hard and was a burnt brown color that i wouldn't serve it to my dog.Completely uneatable and wasted $16… needless to say, i wont be visiting this restaurant ever again. If I could give ZERO stars i would.

I ate at Kool Runnings maybe a year ago the food was soooo good I, traveled an hour just to go back to what I remembered, today was everything but that. I was in disbelief of what was given for the price of $71.42 I was not impressed at all. The oxtails we covered in Jerk sauce the, rice was drowning in jerk sauce. The oxtails were bite size and only 3 were given. The jerky chicken was very dry from sitting. I’d give a 2/10 it’s definitely not the same from what I remember.

I've been coming to this place for the past 5 years and I must admit today has shown me to never go back to this place. I'm from Florida born and raised so I pretty much know good Jamaican food; today I bought an oxtail with rice & peas and it was the worse $26 plate that I spent. I regret even going there but guess it can take one bad experience to open your eyes despite the recent bad reviews I had seen.

Had a horrible experience. Purchased a curry goat & jerk chicken plate. Very small portion and meat was dry. Rice was tasteless.

The BEST, most delicious jamaican food I've had! I always get such kind service and great portions! I especially loved the jerk chicken lunch special with extra jerk sauce on my rice and beans and a side order of plantains. I will definitely return when we crave delicous flavorful food again!

Oxtails were good, Roti was great. The curry chicken was a little spicy, so my pickney dem didn't eat it.

I've been to Jamaica few years ago, craving for their curry. There are plenty of parking spaces, they take orders at front counter. My wife ordered ackee and salt fish, I ordered curry goat, with side orders for rice and cabbage. My wife satisfied with her ackee, only complained the little amount of salt fish; for myself, I'm pretty satisfied with everything. The curry goat was pretty tasty, the curry was spicy right to the comfortable point, the goat meat was tender; the rice comes with some red beans, I liked the rice was not too soft and the bean left bit of sweetness when swallowed. The cabbage was fine and nothing to write home about.

Although there are Bob Marley's pictures in the restaurant, and I knew how much Jamaica people loved him when I was on their streets, but the name of the restaurant reminded us another legendary Jamaican - Usain Bolt, they should have pictures of him as well.

The flattest saddest almost no beef patty I’ve ever had ? and most of the chicken patty was completely empty lol had to break it toward the bottom for a minuscule bite of meat ☠️ this should never be a thing smh

Oh also the coco bread was not fresh and was hard at the bottom

I went to kool running yestaurday 7/16/24 I brought curry chicken , peas and rice, & collard greens and the food is NASTY the rice was blend (NO SEASONING) the curry chicken was nasty . It didn’t even taste like Jamaican food . I will not go back here until they get a NEW COOK✌???‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

I tend to crave ox tail and beef patties now and then, and have little time to make them myself. I’ve tried a few places in this area and so far Kool Runnings is my favorite! Very satisfying and it’s great to find DG Jamaican soft drinks again! Have yet to try Ting, though.

Walking in, I personally don’t like the atmosphere too much. It’s spacious and looks nice, but has a very “business as usual” vibe, and I’ve only hear Bob Marley play. I have yet to stay and eat. Usually just take it to go.

I have ordered from this restaurant before. The food is good. Now with that being said, I just spent $30 for half the food that I got last month. When my food was dropped off there were no full size oxtails and very little serving size all the way around.
