Vegetable rolls and hot & sour soup were good. Ginger salad was like no ginger dressing I’ve ever had with a balsamic color and no flavor. Edible, put far from good. The General Tso Chicken appeared to be made from dark meat chicken pieces smaller than you can imagine. We upgraded to fried rice for $2.50 and there were no vegetables in the rice. They appeared to only have one server for the dining room and to go orders at 7:00 pm on Friday. She was very nice, but the meal was pretty bad.

Summary: get the sesame chicken as take out and you’re good.

I went to dinner with a friend and asked to meet at Lon U because I remember getting good take out from here when I lived in the area a couple years ago. We both order a glass of house red (emphasis on the house because for the price it was more like red wine vinegar but it’s a Chinese place not a winery so nbd). She ordered the apple chicken and when it came out it wasn’t what she expected but whatever. Then we both tried it. It was not good. It honestly tasted like a Glade candle had a baby with garlic chicken. My friend asked to switch out the dish for what I got (sesame chicken— it was fine) and the cook (presumably) came out of the back several minutes after looking like he was ready to pick a fight. He asked what was wrong with the dish and she tried to politely explain that it wasn’t what she had expected and wasn’t very good. He got incredibly defensive and started telling her that she should have read the menu better and that she was going to have to still pay for 50% of the dish. She had no problem with that policy and agreed. We never raised our voices or got ugly about it. It just wasn’t good and she wanted something better. The waitress could’ve told us about the policy and I honestly would’ve just shared with my friend and she would’ve just paid for the meal that she wasn’t going to eat. Instead she took the plate away and said she’d get her something else. Especially since the entree was $15. It didn’t help matters that after that my friend found what looked to be a small bug or at least something small, hard , and dark in color in her wine. After the waitress dropped off the new dish she proceeded to ignore our table for 45 minutes until we finally got the check. I guess we had become too much trouble. So, I recommend the sesame chicken. It’s fine. So are the crab Rangoon. Can’t recommend the apple chicken and if you get it, don’t send it back in favor of something that doesn’t taste like a garlic chicken and apple candle had a baby.

Second time ordering here and everything tasted off. Ordered orange chicken w/ fried rice and fried spring rolls. Not sure if it was sitting out and they just reheated it or if they didn’t change their frying oil or grease. The food wasn’t fresh at all and did not taste good! Very disappointed for almost $30.

We are in the area at least a few times a year and this business is always on our list. The food is very good; our local family orders from here frequently.

I have never gotten a bad meal here. I've tried many different things and they've all been delicious! Apart from one time when they had a surge in business and a staff shortage, I've never waited more than 15-20 minutes for my food.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are clearly labeled on the menu. My favorite is the Tom Kha soup with tofu!

Parking: They're in a shopping center that's not very busy, so there's always plenty of parking.

If you’re looking for fried rice or sweet sour chicken this is not good food. Do yourself a service and look elsewhere.

Been twice in the past two weeks. Once for lunch & once for dinner.Service was good. Polite & attentive.Their Thai dishes are delicious. The Hunan is very good also. Large portions. The Hot & Sour soup was great.Massaman curry is spicey, but that's why I like itThe Pad Thai is the nest around. Made to order for level of heat.I'd give Lon U a 4.8 stars. A bit pricey, that's why not a 5.0.
