The spice is just right, tender, large portion, and has that char flavor like it was cooked on an actual grill Cabbage: delicious, very flavorful - peppery but no heat Mac n cheese: very good, my mom would approve Plantains: yummy, good specimen of a standard side Greens: a bit spicy for my taste, wasn't expecting so much heat in greens but that's just my preference - very flavorful even with so much heat Beans & rice: would have liked more beans, but super tasty nevertheless Beef patty: pretty good, would have liked more flavor in the meat tho Curry chicken patty: outstanding! Wish they served this flavor profile with the cooking method of the jerk chicken Will for SURE order again and recommend

I love their island chicken and jerk wings. However, the jerk chicken fried rice sometimes tastes spoil. They should make fresh jerk chicken fried rice everyday. Overall I like their food.

Today is March 23 2024 at 6:25pm. I entered MJ Caribbean restaurant. A black gentleman was in front of me and I heard the person serving this man his food STUPID. I asked did you just call him STUPID? She said yes he is STUPID. As he and his wife walked out the door, so did I. At 6:26pm I was in the my car. Disrespect will not be tolerated.

This place exceeded my expectations. I heard about this place from a friend influencer and he reviewed the Mango Habanero Chicken. He did a great job reviewing because it piqued my interest next time I was in that area and I'm so glad I stopped by to experience first hand the delight this place gave me.First of all their prices are insane! With everything from air to water being inflated it was an awesome change to find somewhere affordable. All their prices are clearly listed on their menu and they have such an array of proteins and sides. The pans just kept going. I was shocked honestly by their extensive options. They do allow 2 sample per person if you're stuck between choosing a protein.I went with the rice and beans, habanero chicken, collard greens, and plantain. The portions were out of this world. She just kept piling on the food and I was so pleased with the absence of stinginess that most restaurants impose on their patrons.I also added a beef patty and Kola Champagne. Everything came out to $21. The rice was pretty good, chicken was so tender and delicious, the greens were good but could use more seasoning or salt. The plantains were perfect.They don't make their patties in house like most Caribbean restaurants but it was fine nonetheless. The restaurant was clean although they could use a little bit of updating or artwork to give it more of an island feel outside of the choice of paint they chose. Will definitely be back.

Ordered through DoorDash. Canned collard greens, macaroni n cheese soup and the oxtails are not fall off the bone. Very fatty and chewy. Would not recommend.

I recently tried the oxtails as it was close for delivery in my area. While the color was surprising (definitely hesitant to actually eat) - more reddish-orange than the usual brown - and there was a lot of fat, the taste was just okay. Not the best, so it might be a last resort option if I order from here again.

The mango chicken kabobs are excellent. Mac and cheese with collards. Absolutely one of my favorite meals. And the portions are huge.

Please do not eat here! I got food poisoning from them and kept throwing up!! I had ordered the brown stew chicken, plantains, and rice and peas. I’ve been sick for two days straight. The next day my body couldn’t keep anything down they were the only place I ate at the day before so I know it came from this restaurant! I knew something was wrong when I bit into that chicken. Please make sure you guys are following safety guidelines because you are playing with peoples lives! Absolutely disgusting!

Amazing food , the only bad thing is they share a place next to someone who dries fish in the back. It makes MJs smell like dead fish it almost made me stop eating there because at first I thought it was MJs food that smelled like that . Thank goodness I asked about it! The guy who boxed my food was super sweet too! I’ll be back because of his service !!
