I just stopped by the restaurant today and as Dominican myself was so looking forward to eat there, but was so disappointed to see that the server was not wearing a mask and serving the food. It's the recommended guideline from the CDC.

Before the resturant changed owners and was this, the portions were super big and they would judge you if you said that's enough. They also tell non spanish customers to SPEAK SPANISH. the food was good but the restrooms were bad

This is authentic Dominican food! Omg the seasoning of the pernil and habichuelas were delicious and the ensalada de papa is yummy! I think they renamed it El Fogón 2 now. I loved the traditional Dominican decorations and my favorite thing was that they served my guanabana juice with an aluminum cup like the ones you drink out of in the countryside in our island! Definitely recommend!

Now called El Fogon. I give it only three stars because the price was not reasonable for the meal. $9.89 for white rice with a very small serving of black beans, two maduros that were not maduro or sweet, and a few pieces of yuca which were hard and dry and did not have any sauce. If you're vegan and need decent food, the beans and rice were certainly tasty.

Sobor Quisqueya is now EL FOGON DOMINICANO. The food continues to be delicious. The place also got a nice lift, with new tables, booths, and decorations. If you like great home style Dominican food you will love it. They are open seven days a week from 9am till 10pm. Fridays and Saturdays until 1am. See all the pictures and I included de menu. Enjoy it.

Great staff and savory food. The portions are adequate for the price. I will come back to fill up my belly with yummy food.

This place is so delicious! White rice is always the base of Hispanic food. If the rice isn't right then the whole meal isn't right! Their rice is so soft and moist, I can eat it all on its own. But the sauces that come in every single option is to die for ! Nice meat sauce on top of the rice OH MY GOD!

I was very disappointed with the flavor. Everything was very dry. The mofogo was super garlicky. The yellow rice tasted like it was cooked 2 days ago and reheated. I can keep going but ima be here forever. If you want real Dominican food don't come here.

Good dominican food but not really authentic flavors. But I'll settle for it.
