When you walk in and on the hostess stand there is a large blue sign blaming the ongoing pandemic for slow service one doesn't get a good first impression. Then it takes over 5 minutes to be greeted and there is no introduction, just putting chips on our table. Though maybe he was a runner. Nope, our server. You can tell it's a popular place by the noise. However, the food was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was given the level of service expectation set at the hostess stand. Seriously, ditch the sign and teach your servers a little customer service and this place would be top notch!

Food is good, tequila and beer list fantastic, but the service is horrid. Especially at the bar. Bar and wait staff would rather hang out at the end of the bar chatting or stand their on their phones than serve you. Mgr included!

We had high expectations for this restaurant as it is a beautiful building, alas, that's the best thing I can say about it. Upon entry, you are greeted with a huge sign at the hostess station with a disclaimer that due to the "ongoing" pandemic, they are perpetually short staffed, expect a wait. We were seated by a teenager rather quickly and sat down to a salt covered table. The bench I sat on was ripped and had been that way for a while. Our server arrived with our cold chips (no not room temp, cold) and provided us with dirty menus (splotches of dried salsa on them). We opted for standard meals from their prodigious menu and were very surprised by the short amount of time it took to have them served. One bite told us why. If your idea of Mexican cuisine is that which is delivered straight from a can from the back of a "U.S. Foods" delivery truck, then this place is for you because that is precisely what all of the food tasted like. And even the black beans and Mexican rice were not piping hot, it's more like they were microwaved just for me from a larger, cold stock in the kitchen. We love Mexican food, and we did not finish eating our food here. Had this been lower priced food, as is common with this cuisine, I'd probably have just kept all of this to myself, but at $18.00 per plate of food we couldn't finish, you should at least know what you're getting into. On the plus side, the bar looked amazing. I told my wife this place was really a bar with a Mexican restaurant tacked on as an afterthought. A poorly executed afterthought whose best days seem to be behind her now. C’est la vie.

I don’t write reviews…might be the third one in my life…..but this place was so bad I had to! Service was atrocious, food pathetic, and Bartenders/ drinks were a disaster! You want good Mexican food…CT Taqueria in Trilith! Never ever ever going back!!!!

We ordered the house margaritas. Terrible, we told them couldn’t drink, all alcohol sales final. We ordered 2 handcrafted for $2 more each, much better. Our table side (for your enjoyment) guacamole was not prepared table side and tasteless. That’s enough, we won’t be back.
