Really enjoyed my first visit to MOMONOKI in Peachtree City for sushi and other Japanese delicacies. Great top-grade Sashimi, Sake, Chicken Karaage, Fried Oysters, Hamachi Kama, and Housemade Cheesecake. Needless to say, I had a good sized takeout bag when I left and was completely satiated.
Chef Alvin and his entire staff were friendly and attentive, and virtually all of the other patrons were "regulars" that clearly love the place!
It was easy to understand why there were no empty seats when I left.

I've been driving by this place for some time so I thought I'd stop in when in the neighborhood. I ordered takoyaki, the spicy salmon roll, hamachi lover roll, the porter roll and Chu toro. Now I really enjoyed the takoyaki! There was the right amount of octopus in that tired delight and the sauces on it really brought out that flavor. However, when it came to the sushi, it was a different story. Now that sushi rice was fantastic! I knew immediately as I ate it, it was fresh and had the right amount of vinegar in there, but when I ate the rolls, it left wondering where's the rest of the flavor. The spicy salmon roll wasn't even spicy. I love spicy food so for this to not even have any heat, it was a disappointment. It may have come after I ate the roll, but only a whisper of heat was lingering. The porter roll was just ok. I felt it was missing a flavor component in that roll to bring it together for me. I liked the hamachi roll and thought this was the best roll I ate. It was refreshing and had the right amount of crunch in there. I thought the chu toro was just ok and after eating it, made me realize I should have gotten the o toro. As they were sold out, I just shouldn't have ordered this. Overall the food isn't bad, but I won't be so eager to stop by again, if in the neighborhood.

Unfortunately, we will not be back for the bento box or the sushi.
We spent nearly $100 to try a variety of stuff for our first time here. Most of it went in the trashcan. The sushi tasted very sour. The teriyaki chicken had a chemical aftertaste. The tempura vegetables were hard and stale.
If anything, we may return for the cheesecake and Thai tea.

Momonoki is undoubtedly the freshest sushi around.
the quality of the sashimi, is "off the line good"
the freshness of their ingredients, is evident the best.

I am absolutely obsessed! I grew up in north Georgia, and moved to Tennessee recently, and I have missed good sushi! We were in town visiting and someone recommend it. I have never been so glad for a recommendation! The food is phenomenal! The shumai is out of this world, the waitresses mother makes the umami that goes on top and it is some if not the best I have ever had! Alvin who Is the head chef and I believe owner, knows what he is doing, the sushi is on par with some of the best sushi places in the world.

It's hard to come across a restaurant that leaves you wondering if you've ever experienced that particular cuisine properly before. I can confidently you say that EVERY bite at Mononoki that touched my tongue left me in awe. I've had sushi from some of the top restaurants in the world, and this ranks too close to the top to make a call. This isn't just food, it's passion and art incarnate.

Hidden gem in PTC! If sushi is one of your love languages, then jump in your cart and head down. The food quality is outstanding and the menu is diverse. If you do not see something you desire, ask.. or take a walk on the wild side, and let the chef choose for you. Staff is always pleasant and personable. All around, it is a great place to hang with friends and enjoy a delicious meal.

Best tasting sashimi around! I have been to Michelin star Hayakawa in Atl and I enjoy this hidden pearl gem way more! Great Sushi!!!!
Expensive- but worth every single penny.
The prices are more than the other two main sushi places in PTC - but the quality of the fish and rice is second to none. It’s really small things like the rice bing actual sushi rice and served warm with rice vinegar or even the use of other fish and vegetables you don’t normally have (like daikon).
The quality of the food is something that needs to be celebrated. Get the scallops. I know it’s raw and it sounds weird but they are life changing. Get the scallops.
The saki menu is moderate in size and expensive but again, you come here for A++ quality not a cheap out with the Mrs.
We spent $100 for 2 of us and got one house Saki and 3 rolls and one sashimi dish. Parking is a little bit of a pain (just has a small lot) and the service is very nice when we could get it. We know they were all working quickly and the place was bumping busy for a Tuesday but service was slow. Slow to get service and slow to get the check. But the girls were very polite and friendly. But the kitchen was working super fast. Props to everyone there either way it did not take away from our experience since the food itself was the star.

Very traditional and very delicious! I had a salmon roll ?, the salmon was divine, clearly a superior cut. I also got the Gyudon, beef, egg, picked radish?, sauce over a bed of rice. I took on the challenge and ate it with the chopsticks, only made a big mess. ? The staff were super friendly and moved with purpose. Lots of great options to fit everyone’s tastes. If you haven’t tried them out yet, you are seriously missing out.
Best Sushi ? in Peachtree City.
