Every special roll we’ve had so far has been great and quality has been consistent each time. Staff is friendly, accommodating, and professional every time. Definitely our favorite local sushi place!

I would like to deeply apologize for the previous review regarding Elise. I was with friends at the time, and some things were misrepresented. Elise was not only kind and professional, but she also politely asked us not to place dishes on the counter. She even apologized in case it came across as rude, which my friend and I (who is Asian) were completely fine with.

Unfortunately, one of our friends was in a bad mood, and that affected how the situation was perceived. Elise was genuinely sweet and respectful throughout our visit.

Again, I’m truly sorry for the earlier review—it did not reflect the reality of our experience with Elise.

Said they were to full for a takeout order. Asked if I could be seated then and was refused.

When I first looked at the menu I thought it was a bit over priced... man was I wrong! It was worth every penny. Staff was friendly and kind. The food was expectional!! Best sushi I have had in a long time.

The listed hours are not accurate. I came by expecting the place to be open until 2:00 PM, but they had already closed by 1:30 PM. It would really help if the hours were updated so customers don’t show up disappointed.

If you’re looking for a great sushi date night this is a great place! We really enjoyed sitting at the high top bar and chatting with the staff, everyone was so friendly. We loved every single thing we ordered. We’d highly recommend the Yellowtail Jalapeño, crispy rice spicy tuna, and pork shumai. The sushi chef gave us a 2 piece scallop sashimi that was incredible. Please do not skip the cheesecake!! Ended the meal with hot green tea and it was perfect.

I was so excited to try this place based on the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. To start, the hostess and servers were incredibly sweet, but the service itself was lacking. It was difficult to get our waitress’s attention, and since the waitstaff were also responsible for running food, they were clearly stretched thin. The management really needs to consider hiring dedicated food runners—it’s not for lack of effort; the staff was working hard, just overwhelmed.

As for the food, we ordered a variety of items: appetizers, nigiri, and sushi rolls. The only standout was the spicy tuna on crispy rice. The rice had a great texture—crispy but not oily—and the tuna had a nice bite, though the portion of tuna was on the smaller side.

Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The rolls had a shockingly poor fish-to-rice ratio—easily 85% rice. For $22, one roll had maybe an ounce of crab meat and honestly looked like something you’d find at a gas station. I ordered the Momo 2 roll combo and upgraded one to the spicy tuna roll, which was decent since I had already liked the crispy rice version.

The 7-piece nigiri set was the biggest letdown. Four of the pieces were noticeably fishy. What made it worse was hearing the table behind us complain to the manager about the yellowtail being off—only for it to show up minutes later as part of my chef’s selection nigiri. It was, indeed, very fishy. On top of that, the restaurant was uncomfortably warm—easily 80 degrees—and the fish wasn’t cold when it arrived. Some pieces were borderline warm, which is concerning.

It really bums me out because I had high hopes for this becoming a regular spot. But at this price point, the quality, service, and overall vibe just don’t align. Casual is fine, but not when you’re charging premium prices.

We lived in Japan for 6 years and are pretty picky about Japanese restaurants and so were so happy to experience the cuisine of Momonoki (which means peach tree in Japanese, which is appropriate considering its location). All the dishes we had tasted authentic and delicious, especially the sushi. Of course they have all the crazy rolls that American Japanese restaurants have to have, but they do the basics super well. I even love how they approach service, where whoever is closest helps you out. That’s how they do it in Japan and that’s how they roll at Momonoki!!
