Meh. To the chefs, for the sake of all tastebuds, please properly use seasoning. The cook of the burger was on point, but where was the flavor? Same with the okra. The only reason I ate either was because I didn't have time to give redemption a try. Crispy pork belly is super satisfying, but what makes it that way is leaving enough fat, which unfortunately didn't happen. Proper use of seasoning would've been a game changer.

It’s not all that. So many have said it’s so great and it’s not. The food is mid. But this is coming from someone who makes home cooked meals at home.

The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was a bit greasy and lacked flavor. The rest of the experience was great and the environment was very unique.

The food portion was not worth the money paid for. The waiter was not very attentive. Asked for a to go cup and was told none was available.

I came here today for my birthday brunch. I ordered the chili crisp eggs and it was awful! There was no chili or any aeason to be found on these eggs. I wasn't even asked how I wanted the cook and one egg had the yolk completely cooked and the other was barely runny. On the menu it said that it was supposed to be scallion rice but there wasn't scallions. The pork belly was overcooked as well. The dish was absolutely flavorless. Basically, it was just a couple unseasoned fried eggs on top of buttered rice with a side of pork belly chunks. Such a huge disappointment especially since it was a meal to celebrate my birthday. I will say the staff was really nice.

I don’t know if they changed chefs, but the food was pretty bad. My daughter had the fish tacos which were bland. My wife had the steak tacos which were flavorless. I had the Nashville hot sandwich which was over spiced. My wife and daughter had the fries which were overcooked. I had the brussels sprouts, which were burnt. My boys shared the maple chicken sandwich which was inedible. It tasted like a pancake with too much maple syrup and a ridiculously thin strip of grilled chicken thrown on it. The mac & cheese would have been decent if they didn’t cover it with another quarter pound of mozzarella on top which made it WAY too cheesy and I absolutely LOVE cheese. They call it a gastro pub and there is very little gas to pubby about the place. Such a bummer. Lousy dinner for my 13 year olds birthday. And to top it off, they barely recognized it was his birthday even though he was wearing a birthday boy hat and I put it on the reservation. And to top it off, if you make a reservation and can’t make it and don’t cancel a day before, they charge you $22 per person! If we had an emergency that would have cost us $110!

Cool outside seating and clean vibes inside. Great customer service someone referred us here to try the empanadas, but we picked something different. Restrooms clean and accommodating, maybe the restroom floor needs an upgrade, but I could have admitted that statement as it is negligible really.

The DanDan Noodles were delicious. Not overly sauced, but just enough to stick to the noodles and the flavor was perfect. We put the pork belly on the side and it is delicious and crispy. At $18, I wanted more. It legit could be a main dish item in a bigger bowl with more noodles and maybe another vegetable. The noodles and meat were high-quality so I understand charging up for quality.

The brussels were a great amount and perfectly seasoned and very presentable. The sauce on it was very light and I couldn’t tell what kind of sauce it was from the taste, but I had no issue.

The collards were perfect looking but on the taste, they were a bit vinegary sweet. More so vinegar like pepper sauce vinegar. It was so pungent that I coughed a few times lol I believe this is an easy fix so I didn’t want to drop them to a four-star, just for this.

The cornbread was the perfect look and taste. One of the best cornbreads ‘I’ve tasted. And my folks make cornbread religiously so this is a high praise. The bacon butter with it was extremely unique and flavorful. Worth taking home and putting on something else lol

The grouper tacos were a great price and portion at $15 with fries (delicious fries) I believe this is a great deal. I was expecting the grouper to be fried, but it was baked or seared. because of its softness it had the consistency of an egg sandwich. Surely it tasted like fresh grouper and juicy, and all I needed was some lime and maybe coleslaw to add to the crunch, unless they sear the fish or shell crispy to give it some crunch. It was soft/delicate which may not be A problem at all.

The smoke show beverage was great.

The veggie bowl was probably the least favorite in that it only had brussels sprouts and green beans over rice. The strong teriyaki sauce was a bit too pungent for my wife, but I like the flavor just maybe a little less sauce and because it was just Brussels, string beans and rice, it didn’t push loaded vegetables dish to me. It needed more rice and 3-4 different vegetables at least. The taste is fine just needed more vegetables and rice and put the sauce on the side. If this dish is all I had, I’d definitely have to order more food.

I forgot to order dessert and I am upset because I see great reviews. I’ll have to go back to try that dessert and other menu items that I saw that I liked. Sure this place has a lot of pork options but you can move the pork out. Even with a small menu it didn’t feel small. I’d recommend this place and come back, our price got up because we did order a few items but on date night anniversary this wasn’t too bad and I believe they deserve the five star. Their market price steak does get up close to $50, but there are affordable items on the menu and if the steak is big and quality with good sides, that’s a common restaurant price. The Smashburger and empanadas did look great and I know that steak is good. Check this place out.

Sweet location and great food. I though from the name it was barbecue but it's not! The food is carried and tasty. I've been there for brunch and dinner. It's one of our family favorites.

Visiting family from Colorado and love to check local places when we travel. This place was awesome! We had the pork belly appetizer, 10/10, my sons had the og smash burgers, and my husband and I had the chef choice steak, which turned out to be ny strip, I had the brussel sprouts, side salad, my husband had Mac n cheese and corn bread. Everything was absolutely amazing. The best part was the service we received from, I believe his name was Aaron, from the UK. He was a delight and made the experience so good. Definitely recommend this place and when we come back thru down, will definitely stop here again.

The southern cuisine is out of this world. The corn bread is probably the best corn bread I had and will have in my life. So good.

Very relaxed, casual and calm. The staff are polite and welcoming.
Items on the menu can be made to order upon request. There are options and selections on the menu for any pallet. The cozy bar has an EXTENSIVE Bourbon selection. Their bartender is exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu.
This restaurant has a Farm-to-table arrangement. The heirloom tomatoes were succulent.
If you're local or traveling, I highly recommend this independent establishment. A perfect score!

This place is GREAT. The service was fabulous and the food was delicious. I’m a vegetarian and there weren’t too many options, but the options that were available exceeded my expectations. I ordered the veggie “bowl”. The green beans didn’t have much flavor and I wish I would have substituted for the greens! We ordered the Oreo bread pudding and it was one of the beta bread puddings I have had
