The Loft at Due South

In June 2024, I booked this venue for November 2024 to hold my son's and (now) wife's wedding rehearsal dinner. I was told that the menu, beverage and guest number was to be given the week before. During this the the venue had apparently shut down to renovate by new owners, which I learned in August.
Kelly, their phenomenal event planner, assured me it'll be open and ready by time my event was taking place. September, I spoke to Kelly again about the details. The menu we had previously spoken of and I decided on was now off the table. The Contemporary Buffet price had increased was 40%. The room that I booked had increased over 100%.Thankfully, Kelly didn't increase that cost but she said she couldn't stay at the original price or menu that we discussed. Kelly worked with me as much as she thought the new owner would but I did had to change my entree options because the owner wouldn't agree to the original menu prices when I booked. Again, Kelly was great , answered all questions in timely fashion, and since I'm from NY, gave me recommendations for dessert vendors but I was really disappointed in the professionalism of the owner(s) who took over. I didn't know I would be helping towards in renovation cost after I booked months earlier.
Though that was extremely frustrating, the food and staff working the night of my event was top notch. Though Kelly wasn't able to be there the night of my event, she made sure there was not going to any missteps.
Kelly and the staff gets 5 stars. The NEW OWNER 2 stars. I believe that everything at time of booking should have been been kept the same.

Nice intimate spot. IYKYK! Hidden gem! Was perfect for our occasion. Clean and neat. Staff was great as well!

I am not a big drinker, but the bartender recommended and made a drink for me that tasted delicious. The food was very good. Loved the salmon dish. I hope to visit the restaurant downstairs one day! We had a great time, it was a 50th year school reunion for Russell High School.

Met friend for lunch and was pleasantly impressed by what they had to offer. I had the cauliflower plate and side of hush puppies (the best) and was shocked at the amount of food they brought to the table. The service was excellent and the price was very reasonable.

Attended an event this past weekend here and totally fell in love with the professionalism, decor and staff

My elopement send-off party was EVERYTHING I could have asked for. This staff is absolutely AMAZING! Kelly was the most professional and accommodating. I could t have asked for a better experience. They helped to make my dream truly become a reality. The staff was extremely courteous and professional. I recommend them with no reservations. The price is nothing compared to the service you receive.
