After a uber eats mix up due to another customer sharing the same name I got the wrong order I called in and one of the managers went above and beyond and sorted everything out and made sure everything was good.

Today was my first time at Shah’s Halal Food & it was DELICIOUS!!! The portions & taste are great. I’ll definitely be back.

Finally a place in Chicagoland that does the Halal chicken and rice the right way. I also tried the chop cheese which was authentic out of Brooklyn. This is the only place doing it right in the area. Today was probably my 8th time there since they’ve opened. Great place, keep it up. *The other new place is all show and no taste or class for that matter.

They were friendly and the service was fast. That was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle… 👌🏽 (chefs kiss)

Everything was very fresh and tasted terrific. The portions sizes were appropriate for the price. The staff was above and beyond friendly.

I recently visited Shah Halal at Cypresvägen 4, and my experience was disappointing. The wait time exceeded 30 minutes with no clear queue system, and it was frustrating to see guests who arrived after me being served first. Ultimately, I had to give up without being served.

My fiancé and I pass by this place all the time, and have been wanting to try it. So tonight we decided to get it for dinner, we ordered our meals online. I got the Combo over Rice and he got the Lamb Gyro. We arrived a few mins before we thought it would be ready and 5-10 mins after that he received the message that it was ready. After going inside it was not ready so my fiancé sat down, there was a gentleman there that was just on his phone doing nothing and the young lady was doing everything which KUDOS TO HER! Another 10-15 passed and finally the order was ready . None the less, the gyro was delicious Though! My rice platter, I regret ordering here for that. The rice was extremely dry and my sauces were not given either. We were missing parts of our order, and the chicken was bland. I’m so disappointed with this place, I had high hopes since I always seen lots of people but I’m realizing it’s probably because they’re the only ones open. Definitely wasn’t worth the price.

Every time I come here, not a single employee can tell me what has sesame and what doesn’t. For reference, I’m highly allergic to sesame and have suffered an anaphylactic reaction from it before. No one at this location knows the ingredients of anything. Sometimes they tell me the rice has sesame seeds, and sometimes they tell me it doesn’t have sesame seeds. One time I went, and the guy behind the counter didn’t even know what sesame seeds were. How are you gonna work in a restaurant that serves some food items with sesame (or any restaurant for that matter) and not know what a sesame seed is? Am I tripping or is this not basic common knowledge? They have a sign up that says to let the person who’s making your order know if you have any allergies. What’s the use of the sign if no one knows the ingredients of anything? They don’t even know the ingredients of their sauces. Last time I went, the dude straight up handed me a packet of one of the sauces and told me to read the ingredients. Like, am I meant to do your job for you? The food is great and they give you a lot of good food for the value, but come on. The owner(s) need train their employees on the ingredients of what they’re serving, or at the very least, give the employees some sort of a guide or a chart, a simple excel spreadsheet if you will. Never have I ever been to a restaurant before where they consistently have such a simple and easy to fix problem. Shah’s Halal serves amazing food at an amazing price, and usually has phenomenal customer service, but this problem needs to be addressed and something has to change.

I ordered food for delivery and half of the time they forgot to put any sauce, (which is necessary with rice) . The taste is good but the service is so bad. And this has happened with me 3 times already. Bad customer service.
