Since I travel for work, I always look for local (non-chain) restaurants to check out. Tortugas did not disappoint. I highly recommend this restaurant. I ordered the jerk chicken plate which was clean. Nothing left. I really like Cuban/Carribean food. This is one of the best.
I ordered lunch catering from Tortugas Cuban Grill and was thoroughly impressed! The spread included a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads—all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The authentic Cuban sandwiches were very flavorful, and both the Ajiaco and chicken soups were absolutely delicious.
I also appreciated that there were menu options for those with dietary restrictions, including vegan, gluten-free, and celiac-friendly choices.

The food was delicious, however my guava drink was bad (meaning it had soured) so I just got water. The service was bad and that is why I gave only 3 stars. There were only two other diners in the restaurant and 4 servers who sat at a table and ate dinner then talked till I waved several times for service. At check out I had to again signal for the check then signal again for someone to come check us out! It took us 20 minutes to eat and over 30 minutes waiting for service...
