I absolutely love the way this place looks aesthetically. It has a very homey natural feel to it when you walk in. I will say the prices are quite expensive, which I was still willing to pay. I was recommended this place and was told to try the cheese straws, and I also bought some donuts, jalapeno dip, lemon bars, sea salt chocolate chip cookies, and a couple of the cobblers. The cheese straws were a huge disappointment with their lack of flavor, however the sea salt chocolate chip cookies were very good. I did not care for the lemon bars as I expected more zesty lemon tasting, but they were not terrible.

Very thankful that we have Acres and Oak so close for quick family meals that feel homemade! Big fan of their Mac-n-cheese and our daughter loves the chicken spaghetti. Bonus that the owners are phenomenal people who truly care about serving the community and have made it their mission to serve and help others serve through accessible ready-to-gift meals!

I’ve never heard of Acres and Oak but received cheese straws and pound cake in a gift basket for HoCo teacher of the year. It was delicious and reminded me of what my mom would make. It’s also cool that they support Houston County teachers. I will definitely check them out soon!

The cakes, cupcakes and cookies are delicious. We surely appreciated getting to share many of the Acres & Oak Kitchen desserts that were beautifully presented at the Houston Lake Presbyterian Church Missions Conference week.
Kid-friendliness: The portions of cakes being served were mostly individually cut in sizes appropriate for adults and children.
