A very local owned business ran by quite delightful family. Lots of smiles and kindness as you order your meal. Food comes out hot and fresh with a grateful staff and delivering it to you. I was most impressed with the authentic kindness and recommendations. The quantities are nice and large, very filling. The food is delicious. Therefore, I will definitely be visiting this food truck again. There's plenty of parking there on the corner lot by the Texaco and the hotel.

I had the pleasure of ordering from Fatz Shawn’s while leading a college tour group of 30 students, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. From the moment I reached out with our group’s orders and names, the staff was incredibly responsive and professional. She even followed up the morning of our visit to confirm every detail, which gave me great peace of mind.

Although we arrived slightly later than scheduled, our meals were ready and waiting. Each order was individually labeled and perfectly organized, making distribution quick and seamless. The owners greeted us warmly upon arrival and checked in several times to ensure we had everything we needed.

Not only was the customer service outstanding, but the food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The best testament to the quality? A bus full of high school students quietly enjoying their meals, followed by a collective nap on the way to Atlanta. That level of contentment speaks volumes!

Thank you to the entire Fatz Shawn’s team for helping make our college tour day smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. We will absolutely be back!

That porkchop sandwich was amazing. Those ribs are so tender. The greens are just right. Not too fatty or salty.

I am changing my review. I wish I could do a separate review for a separate experience.
Getting two plates to-go was quite satisfying. And I would go back.

However, large orders/catering I did not have the same experience and would not recommend.

To be fair, I am making this review after receiving a $100 refund of my $700 order.

The people who ate said the food tasted great. It was hot and looked delicious. It was just 1.5 hours late. I had to extend my facility rental fee so my guest who stayed could eat. So essentially, the money they gave back went to the facilty rental.

Instead of ordering from a catering menu and signing a contract, I ordered the quantity of food for 60 plates. Meat and double fries. I did receive all the meat, plus extra that I had ordered. However, I did not receive any french fries.

When placing the order, the manager gave me a 10% discount. I assumed this was because of the quantity that I was ordering. I also had requested that the food not be plated but provided in metal containers.

The meat was in metal but not the rectangle containers that fit in the wire chaffingers with burners to keep the food warm. They used a brand of lesser quality and wrapped in foil. There were no condiments, bread, or utensils provided.

It appears that the 10% discount was not because of the quantity but because they were not providing the full setup as they would if I actually was receiving 60 plated meals.

Even though they did give extra meat to accommodate me, it really didn't matter as some of my guest had left before the food could be served.

The reason for the tardiness was explained because they lost power due to a storm. I give them the benefit of the storm, being out of their control. However, the food was prepared in fryers that they had under their covered patio. If they had prepared better, they should have used the outside equipment from the beginning.

Even though the owner was there, he never acknowledged my presence. The manager and staff were friendly and eager to make a bad situation right.

This situation made me as the host look bad.

Best ribs I've had in years!! Fall off the bone tender. Also some of the best broccoli and cheese! Super sweet folks. Will be back every time we're in the area.

We stopped here on our way home from Orlando & when I say everything was amazing! I doubled back for a plate to have for dinner that evening! The wings, the cabbage, the baked beans, the collard greens, the smothered chicken, the fish & both the tea & lemonade was on point! Customer Service A1! It's been a long time I've come across a business where the atmosphere, service, & food was consistent across the board! If you're thinking about stopping by don't think twice! Worth it all! Didn't get many pictures!

Just a portable RV selling foods beside a gas station in Perry Georgia, but man o man, the food will make your tongue jump up and slap the roof out your mouth. Amazing southern food. I had the ribs, that were smoked and tender with BBQ sauce separately. Turnip greens and cabbage with corn bread. Wow, is all I can say. Find this place and eat exquisite food

Great food and always appreciate a family-owned business. If you’re ever in the mood for the best ribs and okra, this is the place! The fried chicken and collars were *chef kiss*. My son is the most pickiest eater I know and he was tearing through some ribs! Highly recommended this place!

EVERYTHING WAS SO HORRIBLEEE O M G !!! THE RICE WAS UNCOOKED, THE GREENS HAD NO FLAVOR AND LET’S NOT TALK ABOUT THE SOGGY FISH. I also ordered a kids meal they gave me 2 BIG OLE DRUMS LIKE WHATT!! THE MACARONI HAS NO FLAVOR DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE NOT EVEN HOTSAUCE CAN FIX THIS !!!!!!

We were so happy to find this delicious, quick and convenient barbecue on our trip from Atlanta to Florida. The ribs were delicious -so tender! And the sides of potato salad and coleslaw were good as well. We were only disappointed that they were out of a couple of items we wanted to try. It really hit the spot and did not add too much time to our trip.
