We reserved room for my father's retirement lunch and we were greeted curtly by an unfriendly staff member who told us the owner had declared we could not put tables together due to fire code. While I can understand the point, I don't appreciate being treated as if we were lucky to be there by wait staff who dont know how to be friendly. Good food though, but we won't be using them for any more large groups.

The Swanson is just terrific. If you are on I75 near Perry Georgia ( 90+ miles south of Atlanta, this is worth a stop, also spending time in small but charming downtown. Food is country comfort food done perfectly. Fried chicken is wonderful with great seasoning snd light crunchy crust! Charming atmosphere. Priced right.

Everything was wonderful; the food, the service, & the atmosphere. My husband's chicken fried steak was overcooked but our server took care of it right away! I had chicken & dumplings with grits & broccoli rice casserole. Our server was amazing. I would definitely come back!!

It has a large gluten free menu. The food was amazing. Our party was 5 total. Everyone loved their food. Kim was our server and she was amazing. The restaurant was very clean. It is white table cloth but very casual.

Food was delicious prices were very fair. highly recommend.
I eat out everyday with my husband and always looking for new places. Everyone has their favorite. The food is okay but it would be so much better if the meat was fried lightly in flour. The squash casserole has to much breading, the macaroni would be better if if was baked, like the curd kind, which I have yet to find it anywhere. I've had almost all of the meat dishes and again the breading is to much. I usually stick with the baked chicken and dressing. I do wish the dressing would come with gravy.
I love the fried green tomatoes but they would taste so good with pepper jelly. Again, I've been many times hoping it would change up a bit. It's a nice place and great service. I just feel it could be so much more if it had more of a grandmas type cooking because no one around has perfected that yet.
I will say everyone should go at least once as this is my opinion and my taste may not be like everyone else's.
