In town for the light, and this place was next door to our hotel. Thought we'd give it a try. The staff wasn't friendly, and we didn't know whether to order first or sit down at a table. It took a good while to get our food even tho we were the only ones waiting for it. Chicken was good and husband like the seeasoing of the fish. We got a ton of fries. Just so you know, you order first, then they call out your number when it's ready ;)

So dirty. I want to love Chipleys, but we are just done with them. Every time we go in it’s filthy and the food is hit or miss. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a clean table in the place. Even when we have been the only customers, the floor, doors, and windows are nasty. Today we got a cheeseburger combo meal and a fried chicken sandwich meal…and we ended up throwing the food away.

This review is approximately two years overdue. I came to this establishment right after the close a couple years ago with several hungry kids. The owner informed me that they were closed but then proceeded to give my kids a big basket of chicken fingers and fries ABSOLUTELY FREE! I insisted on paying him but he insisted that I accept the food as a gift to the kids. What a wonderful and rare gesture of humanity. I was also impressed with the quality of the food and I’ve been a regular customer ever since! Thank you so much!
The service here is fantastic. They are always friendly. The food is good on most visits. The dining room is a little dark.

We should have listened to the other reviews......... but we've driven by this hole in the wall and wanted to try it. Sometimes they can be gems! This was NOT. First, we agree the staff did not want to be there nor acknowledge that you existed. Second, the food was lousy. Chicken had no seasonings or flavor, okra was burnt, French fries average. The only thing that was good was the Diet Coke! Definitely not going back nor recommend. Big disappointment!!!

Restaurant was clean. Fries and hush puppies were good. Burger was fine. Tenders were okay, but nothing special. The catfish was very disappointing. Breading was oddly chewy and tasted mostly of salt - no other spices, just lots of salt! Coleslaw seemed like just cabbage, relish, and lots of mayo. Not great. Definitely avoid the catfish and slaw if you're going!

The food is always decent, or it can even be pretty great depending on who is working the day of your order. Which is pushing me towards the details I am about to get into and why I give this place of business an overall 2.0 stars. Regardless of if the food is mostly good, the employees which run this restaurant almost always have a subtle attitude when you call or go inside to order, as if they could care less about keeping any one of their customers happy and just want to go home. They respond extremely unprofessionally to most any request that you ask of them and like to dance in the kitchen twerking and acting absurd while there is a line of people inside and even a line at the drive through window as well. To add to this behavior, almost every single time I (as well as many others I know) have ordered through a call in, someone will forget to put something you paid for in the bag. Almost as if it has become a sick scheme to see who won't come back to get whichever said item was forgotten... As I have stated before I mostly enjoy the food, but every time I am to go there something these extremely unprofessional employees do or say (or even both) essentially runs me off as a customer. If attitudes don't bother you, and if you are looking for somewhat fast food that is decent and looking to have something possibly forgotten when you order every time then this is the place for you. However, if you are looking for a nice fast-food place to order from with clean and professional staff that care about the food they are serving along with their customers, this restaurant is NOT FOR YOU!...
P.S. I would like to add that they haven't updated their website in over 3-4 years so if you are trying to see their menu or even simply menu prices, NOTHING will be an accurate representation of what they are actually pricing the food at.
Chicken skimpy but flavorful. You get enough French fries with the dinner for 3 people. The potato salad is very good.

Ordered 2 number 3’s with white and dark meat, potato logs, 2 sweet teas. Chicken breast was juicy and crispy. Food was fresh and hot. Very good fried chicken!
