In town for the light, and this place was next door to our hotel. Thought we'd give it a try. The staff wasn't friendly, and we didn't know whether to order first or sit down at a table. It took a good while to get our food even tho we were the only ones waiting for it. Chicken was good and husband like the seeasoing of the fish. We got a ton of fries. Just so you know, you order first, then they call out your number when it's ready ;)
This review is approximately two years overdue. I came to this establishment right after the close a couple years ago with several hungry kids. The owner informed me that they were closed but then proceeded to give my kids a big basket of chicken fingers and fries ABSOLUTELY FREE! I insisted on paying him but he insisted that I accept the food as a gift to the kids. What a wonderful and rare gesture of humanity. Restaurant was clean. Fries and hush puppies were good. Burger was fine. Tenders were okay, but nothing special. The catfish was very disappointing. Breading was oddly chewy and tasted mostly of salt - no other spices, just lots of salt! Coleslaw seemed like just cabbage, relish, and lots of mayo. Not great. Definitely avoid the catfish and slaw if you're going!
