⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars — This Place Saved the Trip

Let me set the scene. We were heading to Callaway Gardens to pick up some Vintage jewelry (I’ll talk about that later), when I discovered that the Oyster House — the seafood spot I was counting on — was permanently closed according to Yelp.

I was devastated. Like… fully prepared to cancel Pine Mountain altogether. I was having a whole moment. 😩

Then I did a little digging and found out that Eddie Mae’s Kountry Kitchen & Oyster Bar had the same owner. I found this out before we arrived, and I knew immediately — we HAD to stop there.

And let me tell you… January 3, 2026 — this is all I needed in my life.

This is GOOD seafood.
Like, really good seafood.
Freshly cooked. Hot. Flavorful. Done right.

The service? AMAZING.
The people? Warm, genuine, country hospitality at its finest.
The vibe? Real, welcoming, and comfortable — no nonsense, just good food and good people.

Food. Service. Atmosphere. People. Clean restaurant. Clean restrooms.
Five stars across the board.

I’ll be honest — I will never come to Pine Mountain again unless I know Eddie Mae’s is open. I need y’all to hang in there with me because otherwise I can’t even travel outside of Atlanta for real. 😂

If you want legit seafood, incredible service, and that authentic country goodness — this is the place.

They have the best fried chicken ever. Kim was our waitress and she was very friendly. If youre in the area I highly recommend the buffet.

We had a party of (9) and ordered a wide mix to include blackened chicken Alfredo, wings, catfish, shrimp and a grilled chicken salad, and everything was exceptional! But above the food was the service! Just good, down to earth people who were attentive, super courteous and handling a LOT of people pretty accurately.

I wished I didn’t go here. There’s at least 4 other places in town that would’ve been worth going to. We went here on a Sunday lunch and ended up spending $68. They were missing 3/6 items on their buffet. They didn’t have burgers which were the only other option besides the buffet. Mac n cheese was on the first picture which is why I picked this place to begin with and they didn’t have that.

Expensive. Unkempt. Not tasty. Lacking options. Wasted a meal…fasting would’ve been a better option.

Contrary to website, the breakfast buffet was not available at 1130 and to order made to order would take an hour. So we agreed to the early lunch buffet which certainly was rewarmed from previous days. Not a large selection and not served hot.

Something must have happened since all of the good reviews because everything was horrible! My husband got the breakfast buffet and the French sticks were so hard they were like trying to eat a stick no joke! 3 of our orders were wrong , not at all what was ordered. Bacon was possibly turkey bacon (not real bacon) hash-browns burnt on one side cold on the other, omelet (this is one of the orders that wasn’t right, didn’t even order a omelet, but when it takes 50 min to get your order you don’t send it back, scrambled egg with cheese and ham on top that has not been cooked at all still cold and the egg just folded over the top.) Out of 8 people in our group not one of our orders was good. Not one person we dealt with was friendly.

The waiter getting our drinks skipped people at our table and then gets some drinks wrong. 15 minutes pass by and no one gives us a menu. So we have to go and take a picture of the menu. 45 minutes later we still don't have our breakfast. 50 minutes we finally get our food. All the hash browns were either burnt or raw. Or both lol. The pancakes were awful. Could tell it was just a cheap box mix. The bacon tastes cheap like turkey bacon. All the workers there just seemed miserable and were rude. Save your money and hit up waffle house or cook your own breakfast. It'll be cheaper and take less than half the time.
