BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT CHARGE CARD ACTIVITY!!! STAY THERE OVER THE WEEKEND AND GUEST WHAT I HAVE A 550.00 CHARGE THAT WAS NOT AUTHORIZED. I HAVE TRIED TO TALK WITH MANAGEMENT AND SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE AND THEY WON'T PICK UP THE PHONE. SO VERY WRONG. NOW AMERICAN EXPRESS HAS TO ISSUE A NEW CARD AND DO A FRAUDULENT INVESTIGATION. I HAVE TRIED TO GET A HOLD OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING JUST A WARM BODY AND NO HELP THEY WON'T EVEN PICK UP THE PHONE.
My daughter and I came to the Spa at Callaway for a mother/daughter spa day on 6/3/22. Our concierge Dawn was wonderful! She made it the most relaxing fun experience for both of us! Tacorrea our nail technician was the best we have ever had! She is very professional and personable and we hope she is here when we return!
This was the worst over night trip I have ever experienced ! The front desk staff was totally rude and disrespectful! We had asked for an early check in at 12 a week before our arrival date and we got there at 1145 was told my reservation was cancelled ! I checked with Expedia and no my reservation had not been cancelled. Today I looked again and at 1158 am on 10/10 my reservation was cancelled by the front desk manager herself!!!! Then she said she was giving me a room but .
Worst customer service EVER. Booked a room months ago. Confirmed the room the morning of arrival. When we arrived we were told they were over booked, had a maintenance event the prohibited them from honoring our reservation. Was given a room that did not match what we reserved. Asked to speak to a manager, 18 hrs, multiple calls and 3 trips down to the front desk and still have NOT spoken to a manger. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!!!!
I recently booked 2 spa appointments for last Sunday because I wanted to enjoy all of the amenities of the spa like I have many times before. After being told while booking and reading on the website that all spa amenties with the exception of the pool were open Friday-Sunday, I was shocked when I arrived and was told that those amenities were not being offered. I completely understand if the spa is short staffed but those in charge of reservations should know these things. Also, the Callaway website is guilty of false advertising. After driving over an hour, I was very disappointed to be told oh well.
We enjoyed the beach area yesterday BUT when spending $20 per person we did not expect the bathrooms to be trashed. They were absolutely disgusting!!!!!
The grounds are amazing and we enjoyed our day pass but the light show was an absolute bust - outdated, overly long and way overpriced. The kids, young adults and older adults were all disappointed. Everyone sort of looked at each other afterwards and agreed that the light show at the Asheville Fairgrounds in years past far surpassed the quality of the Callaway light show. We also wanted to go to Santa’s Village but despite temp checks at the door there was no effort at social distancing or directional routing inside and it was unsafe. We won’t ever be back.
Complete rip off. They should be charging maybe $20 for an entire car load at best for what you're getting. And even then I would probably still be disappointed because of how far the drive was. We have people in our local community that put up far superior displays on their homes for just a small donation. It was out-dated, repetitive, the speakers sounded terrible in sections, you drive in pitch dark between 'scenes' that use the same few displays over and over for a small stretch before driving in the dark again to the next 'scene'. In the future, I think we will just stick to driving around our neighborhoods that actually seem to put some love and effort into what they do instead of just trying to make a quick buck.
Total disappointment!! Christmas lights creepy... very low budget especially when they charge $40... never again
Today we visited for the first time. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Everyone I have spoken to has raved about how beautiful this place is. However I found it to be a little over priced for what it was. The grounds were very unkept (compared to other gardens in the metro Atlanta area). Also the Azalea bowl looked like a scene out of Jurassic park, it was so abandoned. The harvest festival was also a huge disappointment. There were two cows and two chickens, don’t think that should be considered a “festival”. However the staff were very polite. Don’t think we will be visiting again.

If you stay here check your bank statement. They will charge you random fees, say they will refund you, and then don’t and tell you there is nothing else you can do. Don’t stay here unless you’re ready to dispute charges and have your bank account locked.
Great food, excellent service! Wide variety of food for brunch or a full dinner. We enjoyed the day very much. Two young grandchildren came with us (ages 7 and 9) who enjoyed it but only ate a small amount of food, thus the kids' price was expensive, we thought. All the employees were wonderful, very attentive and responsive to anything we needed. We will definitely come again. We go to the Christmas Brunch at Callaway's almost every year, and have for a long time. We are very lucky to have Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain! Thank you for a lovely Easter afternoon!
