I love their daily specials - always creative spins in classic dishes. Definitely worth stopping in Plains even just to eat here!
Very friendly and hospitable people. They treat you like family, I will definitely go back for another visit.
Paid 20.00 for 2 salads that were in hotdogs container...never again that is ridiculous.i understand we are a small town but charging to much and it isn't worth what you pay.
First time...and won't be my last! Awesome food!
I only got the corn nuggets and the peanut butter French silk pie, but they were both delicious. The service and food preparation were also very fast. They do takeout and dine-in, and you can choose where to sit.
The corn nuggets are really good! They're crispy on the outside with a creamed corn-like texture on the inside that has a balanced, salty-sweet flavor.
Unfortunately, by the time I was able to eat the pie, it had melted a bit, but it was still very good. It's a peanut butter and chocolate flavor with a soft crust and topped with whipped cream. It's quite decadent.
Stopped by with my wife on 2/15/2025 and the host got really frustrated when my wife asked about the allergens. Definitely won’t be coming back here
I love this cute little cafe that is in an old bank! The food was awesome and the staff was friendly. Would totally go and have lunch there again!

This cozy cafe boast modern touches like a huge TV and barstool window seats in the open seating area. This was my first visit and we arrived at 1:30 (they close from 2-5 during the week). The owner was super nice and made us feel at home. Southern charm at its best!! It was a tough decision between the country fried steak, but homemade chicken salad won on this visit. The chicken salad (on toast) did not disappoint! Side of onion rings and the kiddos chicken tenders/fries were all made fresh to order & were delicious as well. If you're traveling through Plains this is the perfect cafe for brunch/lunch or stop in for dinner.
Wheelchair accessibility: Layout of dining area should accommodate wheelchair access.

Great food at a reasonable price, cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Plenty of parking in front of building. Wonderful to see all of the Carter pictures hanging on bathroom wall. Lots of history.

We went around closing time and they let us still sit down and have our lunch and the ladies were very nice.

Idk man last time I came in here the burger was untouchable but it seems like they have changed them since the last time I was here and using pre cooked bacon and charging 7.99 that’s outrageous
Food tasted like it was microwaved. Staff couldn't be bothered to help with anything and were borderline rude the entire visit. Maybe this is just a one off or they don't like anyone that isn't a regular or maybe they just aren't a good restaurant. I'm going with the latter.

This is a perfectly serviceable restaurant, but just not a 4.5 out of 5 place. On train days, it is not worth the wait. You will waste over an hour waiting on the food even if you are one of the first people in. Jump the line by calling in the order from the train so it ready when the train arrives. It will be cold, but at least it will be timely. Otherwise skip it. Have a snack on the train and eat a big breakfast and dinner, instead
