Food tasted like it was microwaved. Staff couldn't be bothered to help with anything and were borderline rude the entire visit. Maybe this is just a one off or they don't like anyone that isn't a regular or maybe they just aren't a good restaurant. I'm going with the latter.

This is a perfectly serviceable restaurant, but just not a 4.5 out of 5 place. On train days, it is not worth the wait. You will waste over an hour waiting on the food even if you are one of the first people in. Jump the line by calling in the order from the train so it ready when the train arrives. It will be cold, but at least it will be timely. Otherwise skip it. Have a snack on the train and eat a big breakfast and dinner, instead

We were an unexpected large party and they were so kind and amazing. The pimento cheese sandwich tasted just like the ones at grandma’s. Thank you for the hospitality!

Great local restaurant with a nice selection of dishes, deserts, and drinks including beer and wine. Located in the old bank building the atmosphere is small town cozy. Food was good. We had the daily special steak and Swiss with sweet potatoes fries, Southern Berger, onion rings and a grilled cheese. Staff is friendly and efficient. We were even surprised with a sample of a a freshly made delicious blueberry crumble cake.Parking: Street parking. If none in front go around the block. The town center is only a single block.

I ate here for lunch with a friend. We were greeted when we entered the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the selection of food was great! The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. The food was delicious! I had a grilled chicken salad. The ingredients were fresh and the chicken was seasoned and cooked well. I'd definitely recommend eating at Buffalo Cafe, it was a great experience!

Me and my boyfriend was finna go in and order but I guess the man that is over it had opened the door and let a lady out and slammed the door he could have told us he was closed, he seen us coming that is very unprofessional and I felt like he is racist.. Because, we are black and of course he is white and this location is in PLAINSParking: It’s so close

I love this place. Good food in a great setting. Always filled with locals. I live the taco salad with Fritos. Sandwiches are substantial. Splurge on a brownie!

Great little spot in Plains. Recommend! The chicken salad sandwich was really good. If you don’t like dill, maybe not for you. Also had a hamburger steak dinner, and a chicken fried steak dinner. All great!

When in Plains, eat at Buffalo Cafe (well you really don't have a choice but then again you don't need one). Stopping in on our day jaunt to Plains, we were greeted by the proprietor, picked our table and studied the menu. Plenty to choose from as well as a daily special. We started off with the corn nugget appetizer and good news, they will soon offer powdered sugar which will put these in a whole different category. As is they were good and hot. Our lunch entrees were the chicken salad plate (nice serving of chicken salad) which my wife gave her seal of approval. I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich which was two chicken tenders on a fresh bun (mine with tomatoes only) and a side order of fries. No complaints and enjoyed the banter with the owner. Place gets a lot of local traffic for lunch so I'd plan to get there a bit early.

Stood in line. Menu on wall clear as day. Got up to register was asked in or take out I say in. He said their only doing take out orders first (weird) should go in order. Then I order and he says they don’t have that menu the big ones on the wall. Hands me a paper says, you didn’t see it??! No I didn’t see the random papers laying around. Asks me to move over. I’m like huh? I said I’m gonna go somewhere else. He proceeds to say “there isn’t anywhere else” sir that’s not how you earn business and the ONLY reason you’re in business is because there isn’t anything else around. Gladly I’ll drive back to albany or Americus. The way they run things makes no sense to do only take out orders first, and not to have a hostess to guide tourists?? Why have a gigantic 3 poster menu on the wall. And then random pieces of menu all over the place with no guidance? Then be rude and ask me to move over and tell me no where else in town has food? Get off the high horse.
