After a long, sun-soaked day at the beach with my son, I thought, “What better way to end the day than a father-son Blizzard run?” We rolled into DQ sandy, tired, and ready for that sweet, frozen reward. I ordered a Double Cookie Dough Blizzard — $8 of pure dessert glory (or so I thought).
What I got, vanilla ice cream, should have went to Sam's and saved $7.
The top had a few shy pieces of cookie dough peeking out like they were afraid of commitment. But the bottom 75%? Straight vanilla ice cream. No chunks. No swirls. No joy. Just cold, creamy disappointment.
By the time we noticed, we were already cruising down the interstate, my son digging through his for gold that wasn’t there. He gave me a look like I let him down. And maybe I did… by trusting too much.
The drive-thru staff were polite — no complaints there — but c’mon DQ: if I’m paying $8 for a Blizzard, I expect at least one cookie dough chunk per bite, not per zip code.
DQ, people don’t just come to you for ice cream. They come for tradition, memory, and a cupful of happiness to cap off a great day. Quality matters. Especially when it’s one of the few sweet treats a dad and his kid get to share after a long day making memories.
Do better, Blizzard team. I believed in you.

Drove out my way in traffic to DQ, to take advantage of the 85 cents blizzard, I asked for assistance in navigating the process on my phone, however , neither employee knew how to add the coupon, nor was interested in helping me,they said they hadn't done it before,I was so angry, after several attempts, I just said forget it and left, if you gonna have promotions, trained your people, so they can assist their customers, I waisted time & gas for nothing !!!!!!

It wasn’t worth the drive through holiday traffic, all for a burnt burger. how is it that we were the only people in line and you still manage to burn a burger.

Came in for ice cream. Had to wait sometime at the register. Employee did not know how to alter any blizzard and charged extra for fudge even though they don't have chocolate ice cream. The ice cream came out before we were done ordering so you couldn't change or add anything. They were nice but not knowledgeable of the job.

Came in through the drive thru to order. The employee who took our order just completely discarded his manners when serving us. Handed us our stuff and gave no proper response. Said thank you and got a door shut on our faces.

This location doesn't do chocolate ice cream ... or were out... the drive thru attendant was almost unintelligible as she spoke so softly/not into the microphone... once at the window she had no idea who ordered what and was more interested in her phone ane conversations with employees than her job. the exterior was run down and the lights were burnt out, trash all over. Definitely not a shining example
