It’s definitely a cool experience and I never mind paying for good food. As someone who has done extensive work in the hospitality industry I found it difficult to justify leaving a 20% tip. You order your own food on the tablet, a train delivers it. All the server does is take your drink order. It just felt weird…am I missing something?
This place definitely isn’t the spot to go for a cheap meal. It’s about $5 a plate if you grab it from the conveyor belt that goes around the restaurant. That being said, the sushi is pretty good, most of it is Americanized sushi, but the nigiri and squid salad are really good. Highly recommend the squid salad. But the price is more for the ambiance of the place. I’d come here occasionally but definitely not a weekly spot.
We got here for my sons birthday. The owner and stuff were super friendly, food was great ? , my son even got surprise and happy birthday song from little robot - server:)
