Service was fast and fries were delicious. The breading on the chicken was very unique and tasty. The sandwich seemed a bit plain.

Skip the drive-thru and give this place a try! Ponko is perfect for a quick clean meal. The chicken is delicious and very tender. I prefer tossed in OG sauce (which is a teriyaki type sauce), but the Spicy and BBQ are also good. I'm not a ranch eater, but I hear the ranch is homemade and also delicious. The Island Veggies are perfect! I love that they had options besides the typical fries that most places offer (though they do have fries). The sweet fries have great flavor and tend to have the perfect amount of OG sauce spilled over from my chicken onto them. You order and pay at the counter and the food is brought out pretty quickly. I don't think we have waited more than 10 minutes regardless of our order. They also pick up your tray/trash, so be sure to drop a tip when you pay.

Best chicken fingers and fries in Pooler! Been meaning to stop in and glad I did. It's taste is like teriyaki chicken but it's fried. The fries are salty and sweet at the same time.

The food is excellent. The chicken fingers cooked in rice bran oil vs canola (or other blends) is the reason I eat here. The sides are great too. I feel less guilt eating their fries.Overall, people need to try their food and realize there is an alternative to fried chicken places in Pooler.

A decent amount of vegan options

My husband and I love ponko chicken. Anytime we make our way from Savannah to pooler, we like to stop at ponko for their delicious chicken tenders and hotdogs. Ponko chicken is a good blend of east meets west. I get my Asian fix, while my husband gets his American food cravings satisfied. The Asian influence is seen in the breading, seasoning , and side dishes. The American influence is seen in the foundation of the food, I.e the American classic of the chicken tenders, fries, and hotdogs. They also carry tacos and salads, but we have yet to try it due to our loyalty to their chicken fingers and hotdogs. The crunch on their food is out of this world. Ponko also has several different sauces to choose from, their OG(original sauce, my fav), spicy, and bbq sauce. Ponko has delicious delicious foods, good prices, and their service is quick and courteous. Give this place a try when you're in pooler.

I'd never heard of PONKO Chicken before and stopped on a whim, not really sure what to expect. What I got was absolutely delicious. I got their PONKO Chicken with BBQ, fries, and a side salad with a sesame dressing. The chicken came with an almost crunchy sweet BBQ glaze, and the fries had a wonderful seasoning. The salad was tasty too; had never tried sesame dressing before either but enjoyed every bite! The cashier was nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was modern and enjoyable. I'd highly recommend PONKO and their Japanese-style chicken fingers!

The staff here is friendly, and the food is good, however, the floor always seems a bit sticky and the tables never truly clean. Also, the portion sizes are small for the price. definitely give it a try though! The fried hot dog is delicious!

Some of the best chicken tenders I've ever eaten. The breading is pretty light and I recommend the spicy sweet option. The island roasted vegetables are delicious. My wife's salad was excellent. We will definitely be coming back. And let me say something about the young man at the cash register. I didn't get his name, but he was so helpful and so polite. This guy is going places. He is the pinnacle of customer service.

It's not often I find tofu on the menu at a fast casual restaurant so I had to try it out. I loved it. Glad to see vegan/vegatarian options on the menu. I got the Tofu tenders with their spicy sauce which was very flavorful but not super spicy. The one ding I gave was for the brown rice which was tasty but had some hard, dried sections. Very good overall and I will be back again.

It's hard to believe a restaurant with chicken in the name could have such great vegan options!

PONKO is absolutely delicious! The chicken is perfectly crispy outside, moist inside, and so flavorful! The sides are also delicious. The restaurant is clean with comfortable seating, and the service is incredible. Such nice and friendly people working here! I can't say enough great things about this place. Do yourself a favor and eat at PONKO!
