This food was not what I first experienced, and neither was the service (a different server this time). I’m so disappointed because I brought my husband so that he could experience how good the food was. Our taco salads were dry and not cooked to order…no cilantro due to anaphylaxis. They put cilantro in anyway and got upset they had to remake the order. The second order was so dry…food was horrible this time. We will go to the other location in Savannah next time.

Absolutely the BEST Birria Tacos in the entire region! My friend from Cali said it was like going home! Generous amount of dipping sauce ! Flavor packed with loads of meat and cheese . Only available on weekends but a MUST TRY!!! ASK FOR ROMAN! MUY RICO!

I ordered a Milanese cake, it was poorly done, the chicken was already like leather, please correct your cooks ?
Really great dinner! Clean restaurant, smiling faces all around. The menu wasn't extensive, but the predominant Mexican flavor - from decor to music, accents, limited English, and delicious smells all signaled a truly authentic meal. We weren't disappointed! Steak Burrito (avocado in the side, please) filled with flavorful steak, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, rice and beans, was not only delicious, but filling. The 3 tacos - Corn tortillas, zesty chicken, pork and asada - with onions and cilantro.. we're amazing! One caveat - BE AWARE THAT THE PICKLED RED ONIONS ARE CRAZY HOT!! But great tasting - at least for my husband :) We had the room to ourselves when we sat down. After an hour, 21 men streamed in filling the room and adding laughter and Spanish conversations to the music. It made me miss my Hispanic neighborhood in Southern California. It was a taste of "home". We'll be back.

The Rusa is my favorite thing to order. The staff are friendly and prompt. The atmosphere is open. And the food is a good amount for the price, to me. Definitely recommend trying it if you haven't before.

Continuing my business trip foodie journey, I had to find a Mexican spot for Taco Tuesday. Behold, Taqueria Los Compas.
Parking - They are located in a plaza with other businesses/restaurants so there is plenty of space to park
Now to food. I ordered a Taco Salad with Shrimp (you have the option of 2 proteins - but I'm pescatarian) and I also ordered Queso and Mango Aqua Fresca. Listen. This was by far THEE BEST taco salad I've had in my life! Shell was fresh, crispy and they did not skip on the filling of the salad. *Chefs Kisses* Queso was a good consistency and decent serving size for price. That Mango Aqua Fresca..oh my goodness!! Do not leave without getting one!
The establishment is quaint and clean for sit down. Service was courteous and efficient. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in Pooler!
