Tropical Smoothie Cafe

My family and I were greeted upon entering the establishment. We ordered smoothies and the Baja chicken wrap. We could tell that the staff was busy fulfilling many orders from present customers, the drive thru, as well as mobile orders (i noticed people come in and receive their order within the minute from the designated pickup area). The staff was friendly, had a smile on their faces, and did great juggling from one order to the other. They had our order was out in no time! I forgot to scan my mobile app and the cashier informed me I could just scan the receipt so I wouldn’t be missing out on any rewards points. Having knowledgeable staff is a great plus in my book.

We love Tropical Smoothie but the last two times we've been here are totally unsatisfactory. We ask for light ice and got HALF A CUP. With pictures to proof this. Unacceptable for 16 00 for two drinks made sloppy and half a cup. I think i had enough of them to never want to go again.

My only issue was the location on Google was off. It shows the location as being in the outlets. The blue dot shows the correct location. Hope this helps someone!

It took an HOUR to receive an acai bowl I ordered. After asking repeatedly for it, the employee who spent most of her time on her phone said she had not received it. I showed her the order on my phone. She then said they were out of acai. What the actual hell? An HOUR to be told they did not receive my order and then to be told they disregarded it because they didn't have acai. I asked and waited and was put off for that long. Obviously, I would have left except I kept thinking it would be ready any second.

The easiest thing you can do is speak to someone when they walk into your establishment. However, today is the second time that I’ve walked in and not been spoken to at all. Not greeted, not thanked for my business, not “have a good day”- literally nothing. They even make eye contact, but still say nothing.

The manager named April is vert rude and unprofessional. She doesn't care how the employees fix your food or your smoothie. I suggest that you never order via the drive through window. When I tell you they don't care how they prepare your food, listen they don't care. Especially,
when April the manager is there. Please go inside and watch your order being prepared. Even though that sometimes doesn't matter. I stood there and watch 2 people mess up my smoothie. It looked so gross. I requested to speak with the manager, April who stood there and saw what happened. She refused to speak with me. She was extremely and unprofessional. She runs a sloppy restaurant. She acted worse than her young subordinates. I use to go there every other day for a fruit bowl and smoothie. I will never spend my money at Tropical Cafe. Especially, the Tanger Outlet locations. April and her subordinates, especially the one who had orange hair and long big eyelashes acted disgustingly shameful to the point I was embarrassed for Tropical Cafe. I will never eat from that place ever again.

Had the jerk chicken wrap which will be my lunch today. It was really flavourful.

If I could give 0 stars I could. The last 3 times I've been here have been worthless.

1st, a single smoothie taking 20 minutes to recieve (melted, cause it turns out it was made and sat on a back counter for 10 minutes). 2nd, my sandwich being made with wrong ingredients and when I went back to get it remade, was handed a replica of the first. I gave it back for the second time and walked out with nothing. 3rd, ordered a single smoothie through the app, arrived and waited 20 minutes past the pickup time just to be told they were out of an ingredient and could make me something else (please bear in mind at this point the order had been placed 30 minutes ago). I cancelled and walked out with nothing (again). I will never go back, this Tropical Smoothie no longer exists to me.

I frequent this tropical smoothie and I wanted to highlight my most recent experience. The crew who worked the morning shift of 3 January 2025, provided swift and friendly customer service. The restaurant was very clean, including the restroom, which I stopped in while waiting for my order. My wrap and smoothie were both fresh and delicious, which is why I love to grab my lunch at this establishment when I am in the area. I highly recommend this Tropical Smoothie Store.

Went through drive through. Chloee did so well. She is a very good listener. 10/10!

Don't go here. They're rude, no one says Hi. They just look at you. I placed my order at 2:20pm online. I got there, only 2 drinks were at the pickup so I ask and the rude lady said that if it's not there then it's still being made. Almost an hour after I placed my order, she avoided me and told a male worker to help me and he found my order and it had been sitting on the counter near the drive thru the entire time. You hate your job so much then don't work here.

It's always a good and prompt service with a smile. These kids are very well-trained despite always being extremely busy with takeout, drive through, and walk inside customers.
