I visited Wayback Burger for the first time yesterday and was disappointed with the service and handling of orders. When we asked the cashier for a recommendation, she smiled but didn’t offer any suggestions, which was a missed opportunity for a first-time customer. After placing our order and sitting down, my husband received onion rings instead of the fried pickles he ordered. A staff member promptly took the plate back. Meanwhile, I noticed my burger had bacon even though I did not order it that way. I decided I would eat it anyway and shared some fries with my husband. Shortly after, a young man came to our table, mistakenly identified me by name, and took both our plates. I observed him walk behind the register, exit through the back, and then serve our food to other customers in the lobby. This was very concerning, especially since I had already touched the fries and burger. I felt it was only right to inform the other customers of the mix-up, though I had already touched my food. The staff member should have taken the food back to the kitchen for a remake rather than serving it to others.This experience was uncomfortable and disappointing. I hope the management addresses these issues to maintain food safety standards and improve customer service. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location.

I HAD AN EXPERIENCE HERE ON JULY 3, 2025 WHERE THE PERSON MAKING THE FRIES AND ONION RINGS FIRST TOOK AN ONION RING FROM THE ORDER HE WAS MAKING AND ATE IT AS HE WALKED AWAY SO NO ONE WOULD SEE HIM. HE HAD GLOVES ON AND WAS TOUCHING HIS ARMS AND RUBBINNG THEM WITH THE GLOVES THEN USING THE GLOVES TO HANDLE THE FRIES I TOLD THE MANAGER IT WAS UNSANITARY SHE SAID ILL REFUND YOU FOR THE FRIES I ASKED FOR IT TO BE REMADE SHE WAS ANNOYED WITH ME BUT HAD THE EMPLOYEE REMAKE THEM ONLY TO HAVE THE SAME THING HAPPEN AGAIN. I ASKED WHY HE WAS NOT USING THE SCOOP FOR THE FRIES INSTEAD OF HIS HANDS SHE SAID WE CLOSE SOON SO WE DID NOT WANT TO DIRTY THE SCOOP IT WAS NOT EVEN 5:00 PM.

I remember when you first opened, it was booming! Crowded! After the last several visits, I decided to leave a review. Customer service is extremely important to me. I took my new employee to her orientation lunch there a few weeks ago. Walked in with no “welcoming feeling” I got a new salad bowl and never got a fork or the dressing. (Minor things, right?!). We joked about the empty dining space & how the food was just okay.
Move forward, a few weeks later. We were on this side of town. Husband wanted burgers. It was the closest thing. Again, we use to dine here several years ago.
Walked in to the same girl behind the register. Lack of care is an understatement. She didn’t even acknowledge we were there. Girl! If you hate your JOB, then QUIT! We walked in with our daughter and she didn’t even look up. She was busy on her phone. We literally waited for three minutes before we just started spitting out our order to her. Never once did she say “hello” or “how may I help you”.
Dear Ownership,
Your business is failing because of the people you have at the front and back of the house!
The lack of attention to detail and hospitality is severely lacking! You want to be different in a world of competition that is building around you (& I know you feel like you’re drowning…) then teach your team about servant leadership. If nothing else, southern hospitality. The lack of both, is why you have empty dining rooms.

This location needs a thorough cleaning.the tables were dirty.the napkins dispensers were nasty,haven't been wiped off in a while .we couldn't drink the sprite ,it had a horrible smell & taste..we ended up with tea which was on the verge of being sour...all restaurants need to have surveillance cameras, of what their staff are doing..one of the cooks was putting her gloved hand on her mouth..Got a hot dog for my son to go,it didn't taste right & was so tough he couldn't eat it ..Had to throw it away..The quality of meat here is not good..the burgers use to be good but not anymore..patties have gotten way smaller & greasy ..
The best thing we had was a milkshake & fries..
I realize it's hard to find good help anymore but that's where the manager's (owners) come in to make sure their restaurant is running efficiently..
Thought we found a better place to get a burger..
Disappointed hopefully management will step up & fix these issues..
After all for these prices don't we deserve it?

Long story short my uber eats driver stole my food from this restaurant and when I showed up 20 minutes before closing they remade my food no questions asked and were so sweet and the FOOD IS TO DIE FOR!!! 10/10 I came back again the next day it was so good!

The food was not worth what i paid. No flavor and definitely not fresh. 50 dollars for 2 smash burgers, 2 fries and 2 kid size milkshakes is ridiculous. First and last time I'll ever eat at Wayback. The 2 guys didn't even know how to run the register and still screwed up the order 3 times before they got it right
