My husband and I decided to visit this restaurant on a recent visit to GA due to our hotel offering a 10% off coupon. We arrived at around 2:30pm and were greeted and seated immediately. Overall, we were shocked by the low prices and great taste of the food! We enjoyed most of the food items we ordered (highlights were the free bread rolls/cornbread, fried chicken chunks, grilled shrimp skewers, and cheese grits). We enjoyed the food so much that we decided to return for another meal on our last vacation day. Ada was extremely friendly and attentive to all of our needs!!One star removed because this restaurant has temporarily limited hours.
Yummy yummyVery busy lots of day workers came inGood service great food right next door to our motel
great place to eat! great food
We had the best lunch from liver & onions to grilled shrimp. Awesome potato salad, Cole slaw hush puppies and the sweet potato fries were so fresh. Can you tell I didn’t like mine…..????
Fast, friendly service and the food was delicious!
Staff was incredibly personable. I ordered the junkyard chicken breast with no cheese. It was to die for. Definitely recommend this place if you are stopping through Port Wentworth!
Great for what it claims to be. Southern dishes are delicious and the portions are very generous. We had lunch here. The dishes we had were fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans, pork chops with succotash and peach pie and salad with chicken salad. Service was great and Port Wentworth friendly. Restaurant is set back from the road and parking is scattered.
The food was amazing and all of the staff was very kind. I would definitely come back here next time we are passing through. It was very kid friendly. I got a sweet tea with the Sunday special. I customized it to get baked ham, collard greens, green beans, and black eyed peas. They also brought out bread and cornbread which everyone enjoyed. The bathrooms were also very nice and was well maintained. This is definitely a restaurant I would want to come back to.
Shrimp and grits was excellent and they took the tails off the shrimp which is a big selling point for me. Salads were excellent. Sweet potato fries were as well. Judging by the tables around me the fried chicken is top notch. The staff was friendly personable. Highly recommend.
We had lunch at Sweet Tea Grille as we were traveling I-95. It was a good find. We arrived about 11:30 and there were few customers. Business increased noticeably be noon. It's a Southern menu with a number of lunch specials. All of our food was good as was the service. The sweet tea was great! We'd go back.

This place is confusing for me the sweet tea was disgusting and I got a different drink, but the food was amazing. This was confusing the tenders were amazing aswell as everyone's sandwiches and burgers. We got the Po Boy and it came with the best Remoulade I've ever had. I would stay away from the fried green tomatoes as they lacked and flavor and weren't cooked right. But this place is good and was a rollercoaster of amazing and awful. More amazing though
The food here is excellent, but my table of 4 waited 45 minutes after being told a 20 minute wait. With two young kids, waiting 45 minutes for seating isn't ideal and we would have dined elsewhere if given the appropriate timeline from the beginning.Again, the food was great. Our waitress was also friendly and professional. But overall, due to the extended wait with kids, the experience was less than pleasant.
The food is just so tasty and that tres Leche cake is to die for!!! When fried chicken taste lip smacking good cold after a day in refrigerator. I have only been here twice and I just love the food and service ?
This is a very southern place, with very good, southern food! I had an off-the-menu special - turkey and dressing with mashed potatoes and collard greens. Delicious! The collard greens had a good flavor because they were "doctored" - fresh would have been even better. Friendly service, too!
This place is a HIDDEN GEM!!! I've lived in this area for 3yrs and today finally decided to try it out. When I tell you, the food is AMAZING!!! Staff is very welcoming and eager to answer any questions you may have. DEFINITELY will be going back!!!
