SGC Chicken & Seafood

The food LOOKED really good however it wasn’t. My family and I really wanted to like this place but the food lacked flavor and the oysters were fishy. The fried catfish was mushy and again lacked flavor. We spent $120 which was a total disappointment. I guess our quest for delicious seafood continues. I do have ONE positive the corn was tasty 🤷🏽‍♀️

Food was good. Customer service horrible. The young lady taking orders shouldn’t be up front at all. Very rude, no personality greeting customers and you can see by the pictures unprofessional! Try to support Black businesses and this is what you get. We have to do better people.

Don’t normally leave reviews but must say - Very rude front server. They lock the doors at 7pm so people are knocking and waiting out the front (maybe they should leave a sign?)
I managed to get into line right before they locked the doors. Food is just okay.
They don’t have the same items shown online. Not worth the drive from Atlanta.

Had this on 2/22/25. Food is okay nothing crazy but boiii the price was $44 for a small a** roll and some okay fries with lobster. Do your self the favor and go spend your money on something worthwhile 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’ve tried visiting this restaurant 3 times. Why every time I’ve come, they are closed. What’s the point of having operating hours if you’re still going to be closed.

While I certainly am not a fan of under seasoned food, I much prefer that to having my food saturated in salt. I didn't have this issue previously, so I don't know if there's a new cook in the kitchen or something else is awry. I appreciate the service and the friendliness of the staff, but inedible and oversalted food is a big no-no for me. It is possible to fry food without a overly salty batter, so I hope this changes soon. I'm only going to give this place one more shot before I tap out.

Salt-fest. I ordered the shrimp basket, it was so salty that we could not eat i. This is the third time at this restaurant, the previous two times I did think the food was a little on the salty side, but this time it was so salty that it wasn't edible. I will not be returning.

Didn't even get to try the food because they closed their doors at 645. Unfortunate and unprofessional.

Tried this place a few months back when they went viral on TikTok and my oysters were spoiled and had pea crabs and the lobster roll was bland. Against my better judgment decided to give them another try and after waiting 30 min for my food my fish was rancid! I mean there’s no way the person cooking did not smell how spoiled this fish was. I bring it back and I met with nothing but attitude from the girl and when I meant it to the person I’m with the elderly man processing my refund begins to argue with me and say “don’t do that!” ?? Do what express that y’all are being rude and that I keep getting spoiled food! Poor customer service and clearly poor quality food!

We checked this place out on a suggestion I received looking for a lobster roll. It did not disappoint!! I had the jalapeno creamed corn which was also very good. My daughter had the Cajun parm fries and grilled shrimp (the shrimp was my second favorite item…so good). My son had the chicken tenders…he wanted the fried crawfish but they were out. My husband had the oysters rockefeller and chicken wings. Everything was very good, well seasoned. I was disappointed that they had already sold out of the brussel sprouts. Everyone was friendly and working, nobody was standing around. Overall, I only have positive things to say. We’ll definitely be back!!

My husband and I are frequent customers. Today I had the smash burger it was well seasoned and the bun was a perfect pairing no fuss should go seasoned burger. My husband had wings and Philly egg rolls these are both always a hit with well seasoned fries and onion rings. Do not pass this place up they are friendly and know how to serve up a good meal.

Hot honey lemon pepper wings were fire. Fall off the bone and perfect breading! Philly rolls. Fire. Fired shrimp…you guessed it. Fire. Queso and bacon on your Brussels spouts?! Yes please! Gentlemen was even able to squeeze out the last bit of jalapeño corn for me and it was worth every bite. Will definitely be back. I’m sorry it took so long for me to visit you guys! ❤️❤️

I love this place! Every time I come they never fail me. Big back friendly for real and you will always get you a good meal. I definitely recommend the salmon cake eggrolls as well as their jalapeno cream corn. Thank you for being a great addition to Powder Springs :) . #YallFavBigBackKi <3

What a shame… they’re open until 8:00 pm, and I walked in at 7:58 pm from the brewery next door bc the brewery recommended them. Was excited. But was also greeted with “we’re closed.” Oh. My bad. Looked at my watch. They said we close at 8 and I said it’s only 7:58. They said close enough…. told me everything I needed to know.

I gotta say this food was outstanding. I can tell they change their oil regularly because of the quality of their battered wings. I went with my family and we were not disappointed. Not one of us had anything bad to say about our meals. I got honey lemon pepper wings with the jerk salmon fries. The portions were perfect and the flavor was amazing. The service was fantastic. Very polite and helpful folks. You can really tell they love what they do here. I will be back for sure because I need to try everything on the menu!
