We got there early about 10 minutes before they supposed open at 11am. It was a line outside about 15ppl. At 11:15 with the waitress standing inside still wouldn’t open door so we finally left.

I meet my brother there on Fridays for the seafood buffet. The fried grouper is great and it is all you can eat!

The Royal has the best servers, outstanding food and is the best place for a good chat with friends, new found friends, and staff to start your day at the breakfast table.

Standard breakfast menu. I had the western omelet. Was okay. Vegetables were not a.m. fresh. Had cheese in it but didn't have flavor. The biscuits were strange. They had been flattened. Think they were heated up in a frying pan and spatula flattened. A little doughy in the center. Had to correct the cashier on checkout who was charging extra for grits that came with the order. Mediocre food and service.

We have driven by this place several times, but finally went out of our way to go there for breakfast. We both had omelettes and they were great. The only reason I did not give it a five Is because it really wasn’t what I expected. With the claim of being the oldest restaurant in Georgia, I was expecting more of an older feel, and it to be more like a diner. the menu is very limited, and it is just a country feeling small town restaurant. I wish more of the history was highlighted on the tables, or with a hand out or something. We really wanted to love the place, but we didn’t have as many details as we like. We were obviously not known and outsiders because it seemed like everyone else in the restaurant knew each other. We were sad because all of the reviews rave about the buffet so we made sure to go on a Saturday, but the Buffet wasn’t open.

Went for breakfast. Staff was friendly and food was typical. My husband's over medium eggs were completely solid, so he had no yolk to dip his toast into. We asked for one large OJ and got two. My breakfast sandwich was good. Looks like it's a local favorite though.

I spend a lot of time here with my clients (The Carr's), as soon as we walk in they already know what we're drinking, they keep our table pretty clean and the food is great. I can't think of one time I've been there and seen a frown, everyone is always smiling!!! Wonderful place to eat!!!
