I actually didn't order anything. I didn't know there wasn't any place to sit. They didn't have oxtails and when I asked about the garlic shrimp the cashier needed to ask if they had any in the back. So I just chose to dine elsewhere.

In all fairness the food is very salty, (all that salt is not needed) however, the flavors were good and the food was fresh. The young fellow was friendly and the restaurant was clean. (I like clean! Especially when it comes to my food!) I did spend roughly $5-$7 more than I usually do on this type of food but I didn't have to cook tonight so I'll live. Lighten up on the salt and the reviews should bounce back in no time.Vegetarian options: Salty but tasty and available

i should have taken a picture before i tore it up. this food was soooo tasty and fresh and hot. i didn't need to add a thing. the Curry Goat was beyond good with rice and beans and gravy rice. the cabbage was perfect for the meal. good price and full plate. I have enough for at least two days. I had tasted my sisters meal when she brought a meal into their salon down the street and i couldn't forget how good it was. Even the meat patties are wonderful and flavorful. You'll love the food and the owners and staff were very friendly and explained the dishes to their customers. I can't wait to make it one of my weekly meal options.

If only I had read the reviews first. This place is garbage.

Overpriced and not good quality, I ordered a medium j*** chicken, with rice and peas. The rice was clearly old rice and clumped together and the chicken was left over chicken also. The chicken pieces were 2 thighs thigh cut into 3 pieces for $15. I will never go back there. Also there was nobody in the restaurant but it took 20 mins for them to make my plate.

All I will say is the other reviews aren't lying. $25 For this plate. They have a great special, but the doors are locked often during the special hours.

Horrible customer service and you place the order over the phone and still have wait 30-40 min when you get there. Food good but better off going somewhere else until they get it together. Oh they mess my order up….Just being real….. if l place an order over the phone why do the person who is picking it up has to verify what l bought. Make it make sense. I order rice with that maybe you l need to patwa or something. I guess common sense is not common anymore. It’s sad to know you guys taken the time out to answer each customer reviews because we are telling you about your service and food. You need to spend more time getting your act together. I don’t see this business lasting long. I am going to make sure no one eat from you guys again. I will let everyone know how horrible you guys are on every social platform l have.

This is a disgusting place. The vibe and feel of the establishment felt very sub par when you initially walk-in but i went against my better judgement bc i love to support and spend my money with black businesses. I ended up buying a few Jamaican patties here. I got food poisoning later that night. I dont know who these people are or how they're even in business at all. Strongly advise to stay away from this place. Fireside Jamaican restaurant on Bouldercrest Road ,(10 mins away from this location) would be a much better option for authentic Jamaican food in my Sincere opinion. Really didnt want to out these people like this but after i got sick i had to share what happened to me.

This place is actually horrible. I vowed to never eat here after pulling up and seeing a dog in the establishment. I cannot understand how a restaurant would ever even allow a pet to be in their restaurant. However my husband went to this place and only got veggie patties on 12/20/22 and came home about a hour later vomiting and had diarrhea. These veggie patties was literally the only thing he put in his mouth that day. I told him to never eat at this place long time ago and look what happened. My intuition never fails me.

All I ordered was rice and peas with curry gravy. It looked amazing when I opened the container but with all due respect..the rice was dry and tough. The curry gravy had a funny after taste but it was the only thing that made it tolerable for 3 fork filled bites. I didn’t finish the whole serving at all. Based off of this experience I DEFINITELY wouldn’t try any of their other options. Customer service was excellent though. Wouldn’t recommend any rice and peas lovers here at all though. My Youth never misses. I mean no harm or disrespect but that wasn’t it at all.

If I could give this place a ZERO, I would!! Charging top dollar for a plate full of rice and 1 whole oxtail bone cut into 3 pieces. No refund if you're not pleased and no signs posted! The owners had the audacity to say that they would "go out of business", if they gave refunds to everybody that's not pleased with the portion size! That speaks volumes in itself. Stop at your own risk, when you see their door open OR just drive a little farther down the street to My Youth Jamaican restaurant where you will get great customer service, great food and your money worth!

My favorite place to visit when Im in Georgia! Food is great and proportions are good. Curry goat and beef patties are the best.

It was my first time going here, so I just wanted to support them. I got a oxtail plate that was the worst plat I have ever had for the same price as everyone else whom sells Jamaican food. My issue isn’t the price it’s the portion I got for the price. On top of that the food was not good. This was my first and last time ever going to this place again.

First impressions count and with this place I am greatly impressed. The service was great and the food served to me was even better.I grabbed some takeout dinner for two consisting of Oxtail with two sides for me, Stew Chicken with two sides for my other half and a shared order of fried plantains which is it's own separate side. The Oxtail came in just one size (medium) and I got rice & peas and potato salad with it. The Stew Chicken can be a small, medium (got that one too) or large and I got rice & peas along with cabbage for that order. They show you what you've ordered as they're bagging it before you pay and man oh man oh man... I knew just from seeing it and smelling it that we'd be in for a treat. This is absolutely real deal Caribbean home-cooking and I have missed it.The rice and peas were smothered in gravy and the moment that first forkful got your tongue... BOOM! Every mouthful after that... BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!! The fried plantain was perfect in texture and flavour. The oxtail was magnificent, plentiful and just feel off the bone with minor effort. This was a great meal from a confident cook who knew what they were doing. There was nothing salty, overly sweet or excessively seasoned. No extremes of a light or a heavy hand in the kitchen. It was all just right and I was the one who went to the extreme and wound up overeating. There is an easy two servings of food with the medium size so you can have some amazing leftovers.Despite overeating I stole a piece of my husband's stewed chicken and it was worth it. It's the best I've had on American soil and I'd put it up against anything from one end of the Caribbean to the next.I can't wait to try their roti and curries. Very excited. We shall return.
