country style steak didn't meet my expectations. it was mushy and tasted like it was made with some kind of filers and not a true meat taste.

If you’re looking for the best Southern cooking in North Georgia, Aunt Effie’s Restaurant is THE place to go! This family-owned gem has been serving the community since 1985, and it’s clear why they’ve been a beloved staple for nearly 40 years. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly smiles and the unmistakable aroma of down-home country cooking. The atmosphere feels like stepping into your grandma’s kitchen, filled with charm, history, and genuine Southern hospitality. The food is absolutely incredible—every bite takes you back to the kind of meals that fill your heart as much as your stomach. The fried chicken is golden perfection, the homemade biscuits are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the side dishes (don’t miss the mac and cheese or collard greens!) are just like the ones you dream of during the holidays. And don’t even get me started on the desserts! Their cobbler is a slice of heaven, and the banana pudding is to die for. What makes Aunt Effie’s even more special is the story behind it. It’s been a family-owned and operated restaurant since the very beginning, serving love and comfort on every plate. The dedication they’ve shown to Ringgold and the surrounding area for over three decades is truly remarkable, and it shows in every detail—from the quality of the food to the exceptional service. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on one of Ringgold’s treasures. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal, a nostalgic experience, or just a warm place to gather with friends and family, Aunt Effie’s delivers every time. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a piece of the community and a tradition that keeps getting better with age. Make sure to stop by and support this local icon—you won’t regret it. Thank you, Aunt Effie’s, for continuing to serve amazing food and creating memories for all of us. Here’s to many more years of delicious meals and happy diners!

Let me say first that we normally love Aunt Effie’s on a regular basis. Their food is usually always fantastic but we tried it for Thanksgiving and were very disappointed. The sides were good but the Turkey and dressing was not good. It was sandwich turkey on top of dressing. We chose Aunt Effie’s intentionally over other places thinking surely it would be real pulled turkey. When they set the plate on the table, we knew we had messed up. We appreciate that they were open and fully expected to pay more on a holiday but $18 for sandwich meat was not what we expected. My mother passed away recently, my mother in law was sick, and our son is away in the Marines. It was just me and my wife so we didn’t want to cook but had our hearts set on some real turkey. We will still go back to Aunt Effie’s and recommend it on a regular basis but we definitely won’t go back for Thanksgiving.

We normally go to Roadside Cafe for lunch but decided since they were closed today that we would go to Aunt Effie's. We went there today and I was absolutely disappointed in the fact that it's almost $10 for a burger that is smaller than it used to be or sandwich with no sides at all. My wife ordered the Rueban with no mustard add thousand island and it came out with mustard no thousand island and 1 thin piece of roast beef. They made that right but I refuse to go back there when I cam go literally 3 minutes down the road and get wayyy better amounts for literally almost half the price.

I use to go here every week until they decided they were going digital and thought it would be a good idea to charge the customer extra for using a card to pay. A good business doesn't charge its customers extra for their decisions. if you go here they will charge you extra money unless you pay cash.

No attendant hardly was ever seen on duty..No food was in the case...Aunt M. Would be Totally Disappointed...The Attendant was eating behind the counter...Sad that it's even listed for a restaurant choice!I ate nothing and spent no money here..I ate subway and walked to waffle house everytime I ate...I was here for my 34 hr break.

Parking: Parking was only good thing

Ate here twice today!!! It was wonderful. As always!!! Took a bit but that’s to be expected on the very first opening day with the reputation that the restaurant had from years ago!!! Good luck Aunt Effie’s staff and owners!!! We’ll probably be one family that will keep you in business!!! We’ll be back a bjillion times!!! Plus!!! Love it!!! Great job!!! Now go home and rest!!!
