We were greeted promptly when we entered and seated immediately. They were busy for weekday lunch time but still had plenty of seating available. The food was accurate, hot, and had great flavor. We had complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table quickly after sitting down. They took our drink orders quickly and then our lunch order when he returned with our drinks. Parking is busy since it is a shared lot but still plenty of room

I judge a Mexican restaurant on 2 things: their salsa and their birrias tacos.
Their salsa definitely passed the vibe check. Flavorful and delicious. (Unlike some places who practically serve tomato paste as salsa.) Unfortunately, there were no birrias tacos to try, but my Burrito Mexicana was fantastic. Bonus: their homemade hot sauce is AMAZING and yet again, very flavorful. We were so impressed, we asked to take it home.
Of course, the service was great as well. Personable and very friendly.
I highly recommend visiting.
We can't wait to return.

El Cactus was recommended by a friend after saying I was going to a different Mexican restaurant for dinner and margaritas. Everything was spot on- from the service, to guacamole, margaritas (strawberry highly recommended), and the main course of steak quesadilla. Way to go El Cactus in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia

me and my wife came to el cactus because we've never been and were just looking for a new restaurant to go to. Sat at our table and waited... and then we waited. finally someone came to get our order and our drinks. It took another millennia for the gentleman to come back with two waters. Somehow someway we finally got our food and did not receive a single refill. I'm sure it was just one of those days but the day I went in I received some pretty bad service. Food was alright, service killed the atmosphere.

We love this place the people and food are awesome
