Celebrated my mom’s birthday at Auld Alliance and the experience was perfect. Amazing food, memorable atmosphere and great service. Our table shared a bottle of wine and the Acorn Squash as an appetizer. Its smokey flavor and maple glaze set the autumnal mood and was enjoyed by everyone. Around the table we had the fish, filet, pork chop and duck. Each dish was cooked well with the unique Scottish/French flair. Our table also shared a couple bowls of Rumbledthumps which was as fun to eat as it was to say! Instead of dessert we enjoyed sweet after-dinner drinks. An outstanding meal with a spectacular view.

The food here is subpar, we send back so many dishes that were not acceptable to eat, At one point the waiter had to order food from another restaurant in the hotel because their food was not for human consumption

Our celebratory Dinner exceeded all of our expectations! The food and atmosphere were a perfect 10 … however the Service outshined everything else!
From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the hostess and escorted to our table by the Manager Lance til the last moment our server Cassie brought us our check, we smiled and laughed and enjoyed our experience at Auld Alliance.
Can’t wait to come back!

Auld Alliance is a special place—from the moment you enter you’re greeted with a smile and a brief tour of the daily meats.

We were guests of Emer and we had the hands down best waiter you could ask for, Costace. He was wise, kind, patient and efficient, not to mention incredibly friendly. Our food was spectaular. Scallops, filet and Ribeye are fantastic, but the deserts stole the show for me and my family. Especially the chocolate mousse and the apple pomme dish.

The atmosphere and ambiance of the mountains are incredible. It doesn’t get much better than this. Magical evening. Will be back.

Our server Nico was excellent! The food was good, larger portion sizes than this level of restaurant would typically serve. The open floor plan between Auld and Croft makes for some extra noise and the layout of having to walk thru Croft to get to Auld is a bit odd. There's no greeter when you come into the restaurants wing, nor any sign to indicate you have to walk thru Croft (or indeed, any sign that it IS Croft you've arrived at). Putting either a sign or a greeter would go a long way to improving the experience for guests coming out of the elevator to find their way. The signs and greeter stations are all positioned for guests coming in from the exterior but, I can't believe we are the only hotel guests coming to eat via the elevators. Apart from that it was a nice experience and we enjoyed our meal.

Came to the Auld to try their dessert wife and I found online looking at the menus. Great experience even though just for a short stay it is definitely a return trip to try their steaks dinners.

This restaurant is very nice and the menu is a bit exotic. Trying to combine French and Scottish is a challenge, and I'm not sure that's a valid concept over the long haul. I had a pretty traditional watermelon/heirloom tomato salad that was delicious, and scallops with pork belly, spinach and a nice sauce. My husband had a crab boudin dish that was very unusual but good, followed by a strange beans on toast with escargot dish that he liked, but was definitely out there. The wait staff was attentive and the atmosphere was quiet (compared to the more "normal" restaurant next door, The Croft). The Pocket Cafe in the hotel for breakfast and lunch was excellent. The property is beautiful and very new, so I'm sure things will evolve. Auld Alliance is very expensive. We had a good experience and are glad we went. I hope the chef will not be tied to the "Alliance" idea, and can use his creativity however he likes!

Really a delicious meal. Was surprised how good it was for a hotel restaurant. Views were exquisite. Loved the extra sides that came with the lamb. Carrots were our favorite side dish. Highly recommend the restaurant. Vastly better than The Creag.

Classy Cassie was a wonderful waitress! The food was great but very expensive. We celebrated our anniversary and they treated us to a dessert. Highly recommend the espresso martini ?

One of the best steaks I've ever had. We'll worth the price and worth the drive.

An amzing menu, with exceptional flavors. The coal fired oysters with salmon and spinach started off our meal, along with bourbon basted bread with bourbon butter, followed by beans on toast- which consisted of white beans and escargot in a tasty spiced sauce over a thick slice of whole grain toast. We also enjoyed dry aged picanha, (meats are aged on-site) accompanied by pickled red onion, rumbledethumps, grilled shishito peppers and cured cucumbers with labneh and mint. Plenty of wine and beverage options, including an icy cold martini. Service was well-timed, and the setting is comfortable. Would definitely do it again.

For putatively a French style restaurant this certainly has a bit of a Steakhouse Vibe. So perhaps it's a French Steakhouse. Regardless, the Ribeye for 2 is the signature dish and well deserved. The sides that come with it vary and the potato dish with tonights meal was simply magnificent. Great service. Amazing food. The creme brûlée was world class. I will continue to return.

Service was very good. Restaurant is nice. Food is very average considering the high price. Chocolate dessert was the best. Restaurant was very cold. It was 100 degrees outside and we were freezing the entire time. It could be a nice restaurant but they're not there yet. More work to do but hopefully they can make a few adjustments.

My husband and I along with another couple had dinner last night to celebrate both of our anniversaries. We ate at the Auld Alliance restaurant inside the hotel. We are local residents in Walker County and this was our first visit to the hotel. The food was excellent and the prices were consistent with other high end restaurants that we have eaten in the past. The service was excellent, our server was Cassie and she was very knowledgeable of the food and drinks that they offered. The ambiance was simply AMAZING, breathtaking views in every direction!!! The only drawback was the parking. There was no option to self park (only valet) and it is over priced at $43.00 excluding tip! People from Atlanta and other big cities may be used to paying a high price for valet, but the locals are not. I’m just afraid this may hurt their local traffic in the future.

Parking: Valet parking only at $43.00 per night, excluding tip! No self parking available!!!
