I wish I could have got past the bad attitude of the cook/owner. While asking about printed menu I was told the menu on google was 6 years old. The man was rude, short and just generally just in a bad mood. Like he hated to be bothered. I asked about fries and was told no deep fried anything. My wife asked how the corn dogs are cooked and I was told microwaved.
I can make microwave corn dogs at home, in my own microwave, with a whole lot less attitude.
Would not recommend!!!
Will not allow entry to inside restaurant. No restroom or place to wash hands for paying customers.
We got some BBQ sandwiches to-go and took them back to the yurt we had rented. I got slaw on mine with corn on the cob for my side. The staff were friendly and I also got some delicious BBQ pork rinds. I would come here again.
We stopped for lunch. There was an elderly man behind the counter who was extremely rude to my wife and me. He was so unpleasant that we left without ordering, so I can’t speak to the quality of the food, only the very poor customer service.
The brisket sandwich was decent. The service was poor. The man taking orders acted as though he didn't want us there. There are no restrooms.
Tried this for the first time. I was good bbq. The mac n cheese was runny but not the worst I've had. Order at walk up window and about 20 seats at tables. Drinks are served in bottles.
Avoid like the plague. I’m really not sure how anyone is leaving more than three stars. They must not have had a decent meal in their lives. I don’t think the brisket was even smoked. It’s like it was boiled. The Mac & Cheese was awful and the corn on the cob was even worse. Took one bite of each and that was it. Pulled pork sandwich is OK. Service from the old man owner was horrible. He’s rude for no reason. There are no bathrooms and it really isn’t even a restaurant since the only seating is outside.
Great food and service. Have them put the coleslaw on top of your pork sandwich. Excellent greens too.
Stopped by for lunch and got a tour of the building and behind the scenes. Absolutely fantastic BBQ but as good as the food are the owners. Highly recommend if you’re at cloudland state park or Mclemore.
Delicious!

Amazing BBQ!! Amazing story, amazing owners. The brisket was delicious!!
Definitely early the brisket and coleslaw. Service was great, also some cool pictures and memorabilia. Love the sweet hot bbq as well.
I should have walked away when the owner was rude, but I pushed past my instincts to give it a try. Big mistake. We didn’t even finish the food. Worst bbq in the entire state. Save your money and go elsewhere.
If I could give zero stars I would. Total waste of money. The man taking our order was like talking to a rock. Very unfriendly.
We didn’t even eat half the food. I ordered the chicken plate expecting maybe smoked chicken or at least grilled, but ended up with shredded, flavorless, boiled chicken. The baked beans, coleslaw and potatoes salad was ready made store bought from a grocery store. And the toast was frozen garlic bread from the freezer section as well. Oh and the sweet tea was given to me warm with very little ice in the cup. OMG.. I can’t believe this kind of service and quality of food from a supposed to be bbq restaurant. I’m just glad I didn’t get the canned collards. Yuk… Just a fair warning. Save your money and go somewhere else.
We just love stopping by this smokehouse bbq restaurant for some always awesome food and BBQ sandwiches, especially after a simi-long drive down south to DeSoto Falls State Park in Alabama. The owner came outside to chatter with us as we ate so delicious house made coleslaw, chicken salad sandwich and a bbq brisket sandwich. Yummy yum stuff perfect for a winter day sitting in the sun as we're making our way back north to Chickamauga. Highly recommend stopping in for some great food and fellowship!
