I came here because of the hype, and I honestly regret it. The food was not good at all. The tacos were dry, the meat lacked seasoning, and everything tasted like it had been sitting out for a long time. Nothing was fresh. The tortillas broke apart instantly, and the entire meal felt rushed and poorly prepared.

What made it worse was the wait. I stood in line thinking it would be worth it, but when the food finally came out, it was cold. Not warm — cold. The presentation looked careless, like they just threw it together without trying.

The service wasn’t great either. The staff seemed irritated, like they didn’t want to be there. No greeting, no energy, just attitude.

I’m honestly angry I wasted my time and money. TikTok made this place look incredible, but the reality was the complete opposite. I left unsatisfied, annoyed, and honestly disgusted at how low the quality was.

I won’t be returning.

I came here because TikTok had this place EVERYWHERE, people hyping it like it was the second coming of tacos. So imagine my face when I finally tried it and… it was honestly trash.

The tacos were dry, flavorless, and tasted like somebody cooked the meat out of pure obligation. The tortillas fell apart like they were allergic to being held. Nothing had seasoning. NOTHING. I’ve had microwave burritos with more soul.

The worst part? I waited in a long line because I thought, “Wow, it must be worth it since everybody online loves it.” Nope. The food was cold, the presentation was sad, and the staff looked like they hated being there just as much as I hated eating that taco.

TikTok really had me out here believing I found a hidden gem, but this was more like a hidden L. Don’t let the influencers fool you — this spot is all hype and zero flavor.

I really tried to give this place a fair shot, but wow… what a letdown. The tacos were bland, barely seasoned, and somehow still greasy at the same time. The meat tasted old, like it had been sitting out all day, and the tortillas fell apart the second I picked them up.

The service wasn’t any better — slow, uninterested, and acted like I was bothering them just by ordering. My food came out lukewarm, and honestly the chips and salsa were the only thing that didn’t taste like an afterthought.

For the price they’re charging, I expected at least decent flavor or freshness. Instead, I left hungry, annoyed, and wishing I had gone literally anywhere else. I don’t know how this place has good reviews, but I won’t be back.

The cashier rolled his eyes at me several times for simply asking questions about the menu. When I returned to the cashier to ask about a missing item from my order, a Hispanic woman acted as if I were verbally attacking her. I believe that I was racially profiled for wearing a bonnet. However, I am a teacher recovering from a procedure. I take care of myself and only went out for food because my pain is preventing me from cooking. I will not return here.

In an area that has limited options for reliably delicious food and good vibes Las Cuatra Milpas (the bright green building in the parking lot of the Walmart Suoercenter on 85) is my new favorite! I came back for the homemade tamarind brew, but I stay for the AH-MAZING elote & birria tacos: I never knew tacos could be so yummy and well-seasoned - even without consommé! Add to that that the place is very clean and staff are always welcoming and pleasant, like they like coming to work (which is important! And rare!). Cuatro Milpas should be on every foodie’s ‘must-try’ list for Riverdale!
