Never open when they say they are, I want to support but in order to do so the restaurant has to fix this matter other than that the food is good.
Great food, great customer service!

Today was one of those days that I just had to have some soul food. As I was heading down the road, I drove past Ms. Movale’s Eatery and decided to turn around and head inside.
Walking into Ms. Movale’s Eatery I was excited. The staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The ambiance was vibrant. The restaurant was clean. And the menu was robust. As this was my first time, I took a moment to scroll the menu in full as there were so many good options. I was torn between Whiting and Wings but finally decided on the wing dinner. The dinners come with 2 sides so I chose Macaroni and Cheese and Cabbage.
I went to the cashier, placed my order, paid, and was on my way to wait for my food. As I waited, I enjoyed all the original artwork on the walls and the music that was playing. Though it was almost closing time, the team still kept an upbeat mood and tone going.
When my food was ready, I got my plate and was out the door.
As soon as I got in the car all I could smell was soul food goodness. Oh my gosh! I smelled seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and a hint of season all. Babeeeeeeeeee! I was ready to eat.
Opening up my tray, the wings were wingettes, however, they were fried to golden brown perfection and seasoned for the tongue pleasing gods. The chicken was hot and fresh and just had to taste one. I just wanted to taste one as I was hungry and just needed something to hold me until I got home. Well, to my surprise, somehow all of my wings were gone by the time I got home. Lmbooooooooooooooooo. Yes yall. I ate every single one on the ride home. Them things were thangannnnnnn.
The Macaroni and Cheese was homemade. The flavor profile was exactly as it should be. The texture was creamy and the noodles were tender but not too soft. I would definitely get it again.
The cabbage was shredded which made it perfect as a pairing to the wings. It was tender with a hint of crunch just like I like it and the flavor profile had a hint of sweetness. Whew! Whoever made this cabbage understood the entire assignment because babeeeeeeeee. This was cabbage done right.
All is all, my experience at Ms. Movale’s Eatery was good enough that I will be back. I need to try the fish, pork chops, ox tails, and chicken sandwich. Ha!!!!

I recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a taste for soul food. All of my visits have been pleasant and the staff is very courteous. The food is fresh, and the cornbread reminds me of the down-home southern taste that I grew up with. Keep up the good work Ms Movales!!

Worst soul food i have ever had. No flavor/seasoning AT ALL. I had smothered pork chops, Mac and cheese, yams and collards. Pork chops were extremely overfried. Mac was watery with no flavor, collard greens no flavor salt nothing and yams were MUSH.

Customer service non existent. I will not be back for this reason only. Food was okay, the little portion that I did get. I should've read the reviews first. Shame on me.
We have to do better black business owners. My first time here and I am disappointed.

Customer service was superb. Even met the owner, let me know she has been in business 21 years. The food, not so good. I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese and a side of yams. Meatloaf was medium warm and dry, mashed potatoes were bland. Potatoes and meatloaf was smothered in gravy. Mac n cheese was halfway decent and the candied yams had way too much nutmeg. Im giving it 2 stars because the owner and her son who was the cashier were extremely polite and nice
I’m sorry but the spaghetti is disgusting, why does it taste like canned ravioli? It’s no way it was made!

Im from Philadelphia but currently reside in Jacksonville,i came to Atlanta today n thought i would like some soul food instead of Chik fil A wat a disappointment, the Greens had no seasoning but with Hot Sauce it made them better,Mac was ok but no seasoning,Pot Roast if that’s wat they wanna call it was soup with about 5 cubes of Roast in it and some mushy potatoes, gravy actually tasted bad, rice was overcooked, last but not least my fiancée had wings and fries and her wings smelled spoiled n which they where,oh my bad i forgot about the drinks i had a Arnold Palmer and my lady had a sweet tea and both of them was terrible, who in the hell can’t make sweet tea…Honestly coming from a chef this place doors should be closed until they get it together.
