“A jewel of a spot! I happened upon Paper Plane while looking for a “family friendly” dinner spot on Friday. I was so pleasantly surprised when I peeped in for a sec. Well I was welcomed and shown around thinking it looked to Posh to bring a two year old, but the manager said “oh we’re family friendly here come on in”! So we dined on DELICIOUS food with many great Vegetarian options, and Sage the “ticky” toddler cleaned his plate, and had a ball playing in the outdoor space! “I came to Hot Cafe twice in one week—that’s how good it was.

First visit: I ordered the chicken pho and wow… the broth alone was amazing, almost giving ramen vibes. I also tried the fried chicken wings and the flavor was on point.

Second visit: My cousin got the red coconut curry tofu and it was absolutely amazing. I had the pineapple chicken fried rice, and once again—the flavor did not disappoint.

The Thai tea was great, though I do wish there were a dairy-free option since it’s made with half-and-half. That said, I don’t even like bananas, but their banana egg roll dessert was scrumptious.

The atmosphere is no-frills, but the customer service is a solid 10/10. Friendly, welcoming, and consistent food quality.

“I ordered delivery so I can only judge the food. Got a Thai tea and a combo with veg fried rice and Thai BBQ chicken. The Thai tea I was disappointed with because I could only really taste the milk and nothing else. The combo was good as well. Didn't blow me away but not bad at all.“

I can almost say without a doubt that if you like good house fried rice don't miss this place. The portion size is on point for the price, the meat used is recognizable not dried cut up slithers. I like to see a good bit of egg in my HFR I didn't see that much this time so I ask why. “Quaint hidden gem in College Park that’s served the community for over 30 years. This location definitely deserves a second look for anyone that wants to indulge in fine Thai dining. Upon entering you are greeted by traditional Thai decor with a very warm atmosphere. I was instantly greeted by An inviting smile with kind eyes ready to help right away. I was offered a menu and informed that the prices have increased slightly but I was OK with that because I knew that I was in for a treat. I ordered Thai shrimp fried rice, Massaman curry, mango sticky rice ,and a side of fried rice. I’m glad I decided to treat myself to this afternoon delight of wonderful Thai dishes. this is not my first visit and it definitely won’t be my last. Make sure if you’re ever in the College Park area near Old National Highway, that you take some time out of your day to indulge in some delicious Thai cuisine at Zeb E Lee Thai and sushi restaurant.“
