This has been a staple restaurant in Rome for over 40 years. It's one of just a handful of locally on restaurants that's been around since the '80s. I've never had any complaints.The restaurant is only offering takeout at this time (January 2022), but their dining room will hopefully reopen soon.
Compares to the food we use to get from Buford Hwy. The best we have found in Rome.Fantastic soups and dishes. The lunch combos are plenty and reasonable. We tell all the new people we run into about China City.
Yeah the exterior needs a facelift, but what does your favorite BBQ place look like? China City is one of the few remaining formal sit down, order from a menu Chinese restaurants I know of. Not a buffet or order at the counter. The interior is traditional (at least for an American location) Chinese decor. This fish tank is sometimes a little grungy but huge and greets you at the door, kids love it. They also have some huge round tables to seat 8 or ten folks.The food speaks for...
